The heroes (Kennibrae, Wooden Thighs, Gamoth with Ashtabular and Leia, Corvin Oakmead, and Alec) collected their wits after the battle with the wraith-wizard and began searching the lair. Alec's find traps showed a magical trap on the sarcophagus, so the group elected to head back to the deep gnome community. Once safely there, they spent the night and healed up a bit.
In the morning, Gamoth used a wind walk to race through the Underdark passages back to the surface where he found his close friend, Slee the --+-Blade-Seeker-- in the Wizards' Guild of Greyhawk. The Archdruid convinced the lizard man to accompany him to help the dwarf (and pick up some treasure), so a second wind walk brought the pair to the gnomish community. Mostly healed, the group walked four hours through the Underdark to the vampire lair. En route, however, they ran afoul of a roving beholder that nearly killed Kennibrae, but Ash took it out.
Back in the vampire's lair, the heroes tried to free Mang of the sepia snake sigil. Alec used moment to aid Gamoth, Slee, and Kennibrae, but it was no good. Finally, Ashtabular growled to Gamoth to ask Slee if he had the spell on a scroll. The lizard-wizard did and the tigress proceeded to read it, freeing Mang!
The heroes quickly searched the lair, with Alec using extradimensional detection to reveal a large number of phase doors all about. The heroes then broke down a door to a huge cavern off the summoning room. Mang read a bit of the material and it appears to deal with gating in beings from the Far Realm (wherever THAT is). The heroes soon found themselves battling an ENORMOUS green slimish monster that was all eyes and mouths. It swallowed Woody, Kennibrae, and Isaac while murmuring sanity-bending noises, but the heroes were triumphant.
The group continued on and dispelled a number of magical traps as well as located the vampire's study on the inside of a vast pale purple geode. They also rescued a deep gnome hiding in a pantry. He helped the heroes past the last couple of rooms where they found a strange (but to Slee and Gamoth familiar) oracle.
