Mang, those coins are VERY old. They come from a large number of drowic cities as well as deep gnomish, gray dwarvish, and derro communities with a smattering of surface dwarvish, gnomish, and human coins as well, mostly from Oerdian kingdoms (but old ones, like the Kingdom of Aerdi) and the Suel Empire. A few seem to be written in scripts that you can't even read or guess at...

Jeff, sorry, I can't manage keeping every magical item from every PC in my head... Yes, Mang, your ioun/rhion stone allows you to read the coins. They are from ancient civilizations, such as the "Morganti" and "Tolmani" as well as the "K'thoi," but you've only heard rumors of the first one. Some coins are from a place called "Maldev" while others are from "Caer Sidi," "Nochnoy Mir," "Cimmeria," "Shou Lung," "Azor," "Taja," "Viridistan," "Torsh," "Rael," "Auranath," and more...
