Black Robe gathers more heroes and reallocates others to help with the cavern full of orcs. This time the heroes consist of Akom (paladin of Osiris), Malkierian (gallant-in-training), Meep (kenku), Kashi (bushi), Nikolai (jedi), Talking Bird (shaman), Pudic (ranger), Skierra (elven cleric of Sehainine Moonbow), Fluffy aka BoneCrusher (krolli), and Byörkmar (naamar thief). The heroes have a much tougher time getting is as this time five ogres guard the entrance. But, with an effect use of tactics and skills as well as Skierra's illusions, the heroes fight their way in and quickly take position holding the cavern mouth. After a fierce fight slaying another five ogres and many more orcs, the group decides for discretion over valor and retreats, leaving no survivors but MANY dead orcs...
In the morning, after healing with Black Robe, the party returns, again using Skierra's illusion along with Meep and Fluffy's flying to quickly get into the cavern. Unfortunately, the orcs they fought before are waiting for them...as zombies! Skierra again proves quite effective, though her silence 15'r stone proves comical instead of a tactical advantage. The heroes are able to start exploring the area, encountering a number of empty rooms (plus signs of previous fights).
Finally, they reach an area with a pair of shriekers. The fungi's noise brings a pair of giant two-headed trolls! The group is able to drop one, but Akom goes down and most of the heroes are nearly flattened in the process. Trying to rescue Akom and Kashi, Meep quaffs half a potion of polymorph and becomes a two-headed troll himself. Four orog show up just as the shaman uses the last of his spells and Malkierian drags Kashi to safety. After a fierce fight, the party narrowly escapes, though one of the trolls is presumed lurking nearby...!
