Major Drake gathers a group of volunteers to use stealth and fighting skill to take Stonefang Pass back from orcish control. BlackRobe transports the heroes (Malkierian, Pudic, Aerone, Clod, Talking Bird, Meep, Skierra, and Fluffy) to Timbervale, a nearby human settlement. There, the heroes convince the local sheriff to guide them to the pass.
En route, three snow leopards and five yeti ambush the heroes. Four of the brutes rip the sheriff apart. Several of the heroes are wounded and before they can rally, one of the yeti savagely crits, hugs, and freezes Skierra, turning the blood in her veins and even her heart to red ice. The beast then shatters her icy remains. The heroes slay most of the creatures, driving two off into the snow. Malkierian then lashes the elf's remains to the top of a tree, where she can feel the light of the moons bathe her body. Later, Meep and Fluffy return and loot the body...
With a bit of luck, the group continues on and finds the pass. They also find three ghasts, two shadows, and five ghouls. Without their cleric, the heroes are sore pressed by the minor undead. Aerone, Pudic, and Malkierian are all paralyzed with ghast fear. Meep manages to hold his own for a while, defending the critically wounded shaman while Clod protects the petrified fighters. Fluffy doesn't do so well with his unarmored skin...
A hydra bursts out of the trees and attacks the ghouls, keeping them off the party. This buys some time...for a horde of nubile elven maidens to run shrieking through the melee, drawing off several more of the undead. Another wave of elves arrives, also running and drawing off undead. This time is what Malkierian needed to recover his wits and attack, soon joined by Aerone and Pudic. Working with Clod, the fighters take out the last of the undead and meet their unlikely savior, a scruffy young woman armed with a magical frying pan. She introduces herself as Jellie.

Note that she does not reveal gross details in her past or her race other than vaguely claiming to have saved the world and being a great hero as she did in the last game. And she refers to obscure bits of ancient history like a normal person would recount last week's Giants game.
