Thera is Human, about 23 years old, 5"8", 130 lbs (thin), Mod-back dark brown, almost black hair, curly, eyes are dark also, aquiline nose, olive skin, dark circles under eyes. When not saving the world, she typically wears a pleated linen Greek style gown, fastened at the shoulder with a rams horn design pin. The fabric is black, with a rams horn design as trim.
She is a cleric of Hades, and views Death as a natural part of life. She would not resurrect unless absolutely necessary, as that would take a soul from her god's realm.
She has a dry wit, sometimes at the expense of others, is loyal and honest and is a bit introverted. Reluctant to discuss personal issues, esp. with people she doesn’t know well.
She also enjoys jewelry and would like to learn gem cutting.
She enjoys solitary prayer and meditation. Also enjoys caving and looking at rocks and other geological fun. May have random assortment of pretty un-valuable or semi precious rocks at a given time. E.G quartz crystals.
Her parents were killed in an earthquake when she was a teen, they fell into a fissure. She became obsessed with caves and developed and intense fascination with Hades, who she determined was taking good care of her parents in the Underworld. Who knows what kind of creatures and adventures she may have had? She certainly isn’t talking about it.
She likes red wine, chooses black or white clothing, and enjoys flute music, horses and dogs. She dislikes anything garish, preferring subtlety. Does not like mutton.
No current lovers. She is very close with her sisters, Helena (magic user) and Hermia (Fighter). Her childhood friend Portia is also a cleric, but of Artemis (archer). She also has some friends/allies in the Underdark from her adventures exploring caves.
She is intensely loyal to the people that she can trust. She tends to be a confidant to them, and relies on them to give her insight to how other people think.
She tends to not really hate anything, seeing death as “the great leveler” and figuring sooner or later everyone has to answer for their actions. She feels Greeks are more cultured and advanced than others. She is naturally fastidious and dislikes dirty/smelly people/creatures. Not a big fan of illogically violent, nasty creatures, e.g. orcs, goblins ect.
After giving up the search for her parents, became an acolyte at Hades temple. Accustomed to spending long hours in dark rooms in solitary meditation, she does not frighten easily, especially in the dark, finding it comforting instead. Her mentor selected her for the quest, despite her lack of experience, for her quick wit and willingness to work hard as well as fanatical devotion.
She is a very moderate drinker, though she does overindulge on occasion, she likes to be in control at all times and usually track her drinking carefully to prevent drunkenness.
While not a virgin, she does not engage in relations with anyone very often. Again, it is messy and she is picky.
She is afraid of earthquakes in an irrational sort of way.

Preferred mount: Large Black horse
She would prefer not to be raised, unless specifically asked by her God. If it is against her will, she would be obsessed with making amends to Hades, possibly by sending others to take her place temporarily, possible death wish/suicidal, possible alignment change to LE.
She became an adventurer because of a sense of responsibility to her temple and god, money and experience.
Given a choice, Thera would prefer reincarnation over resurrection. Actually, reincarnation is more allowable to Hades per my research than resurrection. It all depends on what the personality shift is.
She was oldest child, felt/feels responsible for well-being of her sisters. She was clumsy and awkward and tends to be a bit reserved, introverted.
What would provoke you to murder someone (not kill -- actually hunt down, stalk and slay without mercy)? This assumes the victim is of your same race, sex and social status.
Rape/murder of her sisters
What is your relationship with your god(s)? Are you devout? Do you feel that you have a personal relationship with the deity or more of an impersonal tie to the church and/or the social organization it represents? Thera feels a very close personal relationship to Hades, and views the church as a vessel to learn more about him with like-minded people.
What animal or creature best symbolizes your character?
“Cat: Independence”…”They come and go as they please, when they please. Cat's medicine is independence, curiosity, many lives, cleverness, unpredictability, healing, the ability to fight when cornered, seeing the unseen, and protection. He also represents love and can assist us in meditation. If Cat is your Power Animal, then you have magic and mystery in your life. You are independent and a free thinker. You probably feel energized at night. You will stay with a person or situation until it bores you, and then you're gone. You have a great talent for organizing things.”
