It's a normal day in the city of Greyhawk. Various peddlers are selling their wares and throngs of people move about the City of Thieves. Walking through the streets is Sage Edulis-Drake, the Priestess. With the high-priestess of Wee Jas are her daughters, Rose and Lily, as well as the temple guardian, Amora Dragonrose. A lone adventurer approaches the cleric, asking for aid in identifying a magical item...and then suddenly everything became quite strange. Many of the less-magically-attuned folk on the street suddenly find themselves falling through the street into the sewer system beneath the city....!
Among those that fall are Sage's daughter, Rose, as well as an elven fighter/mage, Sparlok, an elven thief, Alysanna, elven elementalist/cleric of Aerdrie Faenya, Trahalain, and a Zakharan travelers named Tauresh. Unfortunately, none of the lot can swim and soon all begin to drown! Working together, the nascent heroes save one another and then manage to rescue a few other regular citizens as well -- a washer woman, a (rude) fish-monger, and a wounded porter. As they’re checking out the survivors, a gelatinous shoots an appendage from the water and grabs one of the peasants. The group all flees upstream and come to an 8-way intersection.
They choose the NE passage. As they continue on down, they come to a hallway to the right. They hear a female voice screaming for help, so they run down to help. They find a woman tied up with rope. Apparently, she is a sacrifice. As they enter, a portcullis falls behind them, trapping them.
There are 16 giant rats in there with them! They finish them off fairly quickly. The woman is behaving very oddly, and they determine that she’s an illusion.
Alyssana finds a trap in the area where the “woman” was standing. They are very small pit traps. It’s a fancy, overly complicated rat trap set by the wizard’s guild. They continue on and come to a door on their right. They break down the door. It opens into a room that isn’t in good shape. It looks like the basement of someone’s house that’s rotted out. The staircase out is about 20 feet up. There is a 15-foot pit full of clean water and a bunch of shiny stuff. There is also a gelatinous cube in the water. They decide it’s not worth the risk and leave the room.
The passage continues off to the left, and they come to a 4-way intersection. They continue straight. They come to a door with glowing runes. The passage continues left. Alyssana can partially decipher the runes: something about a tomb of the richest prince.
They continue to the left. They come to a 3-way intersection. A door is to the right. Alyssana checks for traps and opens it. There are 3 zombies inside. They finish them off quickly.

The elves find a secret door. They try to open it, but it appears to be magically sealed. They bang on it to make noise, in hopes someone might hear. It is futile, and they leave and go back down the side passage.
They end up back where the gelatinous cube was. They head back up and go down the main passage. They get to a 4-way intersection and continue forward. They come to a broken door. They enter and find a figure standing at attention--a warrior made of wood. Some runes behind the statue state (in all of their languages): “Select the level of the warrior and wait three seconds for him to vacate the pedestal.”
They leave and continue down the passage. They come to a metal run ladder or turn right. There is a little red velvet bag at the base of the ladder. Rose climbs on Sparlock, holding a lantern. They reach a grate at 30 feet. He removes the grate and comes to woman who shoots him with a crossbow. They head back down and continue down the passage.
They come to a 4-way intersection. They go to the right and come to cables stretched across the tunnel. Some bats fly through. One gets fried when it hits a cable. They backtrack to the intersection and head right to continue in the direction they were going formerly.
They come to a small wicker basket off to the side. Alyssana checks it for traps and discovers snakes in it. Tauresh casts speaks with animals and is able to converse with the six king cobras inside. There are 20 50-gp gems inside. He gives them goodberries, which satisfies them. They continue on.
They come to some runes on the keystone of an arch. Alyssana says is some type of guradian rune. They go down the side passage and end up back to where they first fell in. The cube is now gone. They go back to the 8-way intersection and go to the first right. They come to a 4-way intersection and go straight. They come to a magic rune, which blasts Sparlock with fire. He collapses. They heal him back up and continue.
They find the exit and leave! They head along the shore toward the wharf district. They come to a group of 20 men dressed like ninjas who are trying to climb the wall. They wait to see what they do. While they’re waiting, some of the peasants with them make noise. Three of them head over to them to engage. Alyssana provide arrow cover as the rest engage in melee.
After a moderately extended fight, they kill all but one, whom Rose subdues. They find:
300 gp
potion, pink
Just then, Aris arrives on a flying carpet and commends them for their service. They have successfully driven off the pirates Dajjal and Kavar. He also tells them they are under quarantine because they were in the sewer. They are given a hero’s welcome in the city.
