A rash of abductions around Griffon Mountain region has caused the major of Tanorim to put out a call for adventurers to investigate. Answering this summons are Slar the lizard man shaman, Terah and Tiana, twin sisters with spiritual powers, Dionan, a veritable Grecian sculpture come to life, and Dante, a bearded gnome with strange, childlike features. The group set off to investigate, tracking one of the missing children with the aid of Dante's pet hunting dog. Soon the party found themselves in a ruins of a Monastery of St Cuthbert destroyed sometime before the Battle of Emridy Meadows by the forces of the Temple of Elemental Evil.
Entering the ruins, the group found and battled four ghouls and two carrion crawlers. They then located a bandits lair where they defeated first two and then six more slavers, rescuing a pair of kids in the process. From one of the defeated villains, the heroes learned of the location of the remaining four children -- the lair of a necromancer. This necromancer turned out to be a drow fighter/mage. Narrowly defeating him, the heroes found and rescued the kids as well as discovered a magic box.
After some wrangling, the heroes gave the box to the Shrine of St Cuthbert in town and, other than the boy-masquerading as a gnome, were celebrated as heroes in the region.
