The heroes (Cliffy, Daj, Jamal, Maedhros, Saanau, Bethany, Loftwyr, and Ichi) continue their battle with the forces of Tiamat and Kahli.
Just at that moment, however, Slee decides to exit Cliffy’s enchanted house-cube, causing Cliffy’s belt-pouch to tear from the elf's belt and plunge to the heated level of the magical furnace down below. The Lizard-Wizard uses his inherent power of flight to arrest his own fall while Cliffy dives to retrieve his pouch and precious magic item. Meanwhile, Saanau casts telekinesis to bring Ichi’s inert body to Madhros for healing. The elven cleric of Corellon Larethian casts cure serious wounds on the monk to bring him up. Lofwyr makes it up to the top and notices that the baby red dragon is also circling around looking for a target to breathe on. He calls out a warning to those on the roof and Bethany casts prayer.
Dobby now steps out of the house and starts to fall, grabbing onto Cliffy. Unfortunately, that causes them both to start sinking to the very hot level below! Daj sees the baby red and casts improved magic missile at its wings, which nearly shreds the leathery membranes and clearly damages them far too much for it to stay aloft. The dragon spirals nearly out-of-control to the ruins on the desert floor some four thousand feet below...
Ziyi now leaves the house but flips and twists, acrobatically land 20 feet below (quite gracefully) in front of the blast furnace, which causes her heat damage. She crosses to the door on the other side and sets off glyphs. Her amazing agility allows the acrobat to narrowly avoids a gout magical fire, leaping out of the way. The big red dragon tail swipes Daj again.
Daj then gets hit by magic missiles from somewhere. Ziyi now tries to open the door and fails. Daj returns a lightning bolt at the elf that attacker her with magic, catching the elven wizard and a Tuskar warrior, and stunning both of them.
Cliffy and Dobby hit bottom, and Cliffy casts fly on Dobby. Saanau TKs Ziyi up to the bridge, while Maedhros casts another cure serious wounds on Ichi.
Lofwyr flies over to the elf and Tuskar warrior. Three others show up as he arrives. The big red dragon, largely unhurt by Jamal and with Daj unable to melee it, breathes on everyone on the bridge below, which takes out Cliffy, Saanau, and Ichi. Maedhros manages to catch Ichi to keep him from being blasted off the bridge. Slee casts slow at the dragon and miraculously, the spell takes effect!
Bethany levitates up and throws shurikens in the big red dragon’s face. Dobby catches Cliffy and flies him back up. Daj hits the dragon with her throwing scimitar.
A witch over by Lofwyr casts prayer and five more Tuskar warriors show up. Ziyi helps pull Ichi up and applies healing salve to him. Dobby flies up and starts firing at the big red. After more shurikens from Bethany, the dragon is looking decidedly poorly.
Slee acid bolts the Tuskar group. Lofwyr breathes slow gas on the entire group as well, catching them all. The dragon attacks Jamal and tail swipes Slee, Bethany, and Dobby. She misses Dobby. Bethany miraculously delivers the death blow with her holy sword of Bahamut. The dragon falls into the building and lands on the bottom level.
His kill taken from him, Dobby fires at the warriors, taking out the white guy. Slee acid bolts again and dissolves the warriors. One of the “elven” warriors turns into an ogre magi as it dies. The female “elf” runs off and jumps off the building, sprouting wings (he was a draconian). The witch of Tiamat attempts to cast hold person at Dobby, but the acid damage from Slee's acid bolt causes the witch too much pain and disrupts the spell, so he casts aid on himself instead. Despite the effort, however, Dobby kills him with an arrow through the head. The elf also tries to catch the fleeing draconian but misses.
Bethany starts bathing in dragon blood. Lofwyr kills the last warriors. Jamal goes to grab Daj and bring her down. Slee casts magic missile at the fleeing shapeshifting, draconian, causing her to plummet to her death.
Ziyi has dragged Saanau and Cliffy out the door, and notices twenty ogres coming down the staircase. Six firedrakes and nine zombies show up where Lofwyr is. Lofwyr leaps out of the way, as Slee casts lightning bolts the group, killing all the firedrakes and three zombies.
Slee notices 28 Tuskar warriors coming out into the sky castle’s courtyard while Ziyi is holding off the ogres with Daj's magic missiles as lethal support. Cliffy comes conscious and kills five ogres with a lightning bolt. Lofwyr kills ten Tuskar warriors with an acid blob and Dobby kills off the zombies and starts picking off the humans.
Seventeen more Tuskar warriors show up in the courtyard. Lofwyr goes back over to where he was fighting and cast detect magic. He finds a magic long sword. Saanau comes conscious and casts web down the hallway, blocking it momentarily.
Slee reads fireball off a scroll, killing all the Tuskar warriors in the courtyard. Daj and Ziyi trade places. Saanau casts slow and catches all the remaining ogres. Slee casts detect invisibility. He then sees eight of his lizardmen come out into the courtyard. He calls out to them, and they claim to have been charmed. They make the complaint that he cannot heal like Kahli can. But they yield to him, and Slee starts questioning them about Khali. They tell him that “she” isn’t female. She can summon things, things that can change shape.
Daj and Jamal push the ogres back so they can fight two abreast.
Lofwyr and Slee follow the lizardmen into the tower. As they get near the temple, the lizardmen urge Slee not to go through because it’s trapped. But they show them that the golem has been destroyed.
Cliffy clears out the rest of the ogres with a lightning bolt up the staircase. Shortly afterward, Slee and his entourage arrive. Slee finds out there is a temple complex in the sky castle.
After Bethany finishes bathing in the dragon's blood and the party heals up, they head to the temple to look for secret passageways. They find what looks like a dwarven altar with a message in dwarven that says “Take, who is in need.” They find a seam in the altar, which Cliffy decides is just ornamental. But Ichi’s clairvoyance determines there is a space beyond. He pops it open and finds a potion, a scroll, and a necklace with 3 beads, all magical.

They return to the room with the bridge. Saanau attempts to TK the door down below that had the runes, but it’s locked. Cliffy, flanked by Jamal, Bethany, and Slee go down. Cliffy opens the lock. The door opens to a passageway that dead ends in one direction and stairs up in the other.
They turn back and go another way. They find an invisible levitating magical chest that’s been there a really long time. Inside they find:

Scroll: flame arrow, fire shield, haste (elven)
They decide to wait until Khali’s blade barrier wears off, after 12 minutes. Cliffy finds a blade and a rune trap. He sets off the rune trap, and electrical damage takes him out. They bring him back up with some healing, and Cliffy removes the blade trap. Then he unlocks the door. It opens into an octagonal room, which is even hotter than the other room. There is a portal filled with black mist at the other end of the room. Slee’s detect invisibility shows a secret door to the right. Cliffy attempts to open the door but can’t figure it out. Daj has to come down and use her unlock cantrip. When they open the door, the room goes dark. A shadowy fire elemental appears. Ichi attacks. It is an undead fire elemental. Ichi blurs himself. Daj faerie fires but only catches Ichi, because she can’t see. Maedhros tries to get closer with a torch, but only finds an area that sucks the torchlight. The elemental causes the soul of anyone nearby to get on fire. Ichi takes it out with his magic naginata.
Then 11 shadows pour out of the secret door. Maedhros dusts four, Ichi kills four. Daj faerie fires them. They finish them off quickly. Ichi heads down the hallway, and as he turns the corner, he gets hit by a ballista bolt. He gets healed up, then he and Daj charge down the hallway. Ichi sets off three glyphs: fire, cold, electrical.
Daj continues and comes to a man made of marble reloading the ballista. The rest of the ones who are already down there follow. Ichi starts ferrying the other waiting above down to that level.
Someone throws a makeshift fire bomb down the stairs, but the party is all resistant. Jamal finishes off the foe and runs upstairs but slips on the flaming oil. Lofwyr climbs up the staircase on the ceiling and enters Khali’s bedchamber. There’s a man in there hurling fire bombs. The party knocks him out after Slee grapples him and Ichi stuns him.
