Howdy folks,
I'm *hoping* to do Valley of Spirits again this coming weekend (March 4th). Please contact me ASAP if this will not work for you.
That said, there are a number of other events brewing across the Flanese.
Around March-to-April of 618, Mikhail gathers a party together. The requirements are that the PCs have access to powerful fire resistance items or spells, are TOUGH, are reliable, and (preferably) good at inflicting subdual damage. His goal? None other than finishing off Diablo, the Primordial God of Evil. He's lives amid volcanoes and is being hunted by the minions of Iuz, but Mikhail has a plan to get Diablo first and SAFELY...!
Party: Mikhail (10th lvl psionic druid), Rhom (10th lvl warsmith), AND...? I would be okay retro-conning players without other PCs (Jeff and Aaron and Van and Gordon).
On Midsummer of 619, Gamoth will be serving as Arch-Druid for the first time. So, he's had to bail out on the Underdark game as a result. This means the party is back on the surface (and free). Gamoth believes he will be needed on the surface for a while, so he'd like to put the Underdark quest on hold for a bit (or let the party go back and he'll meet 'em at the Gnome Town). Meanwhile, Gamoth asks Cedric to join him in Tigerwood in order to teach Leia how to "fight like a ranger." The ape likes Cedric and his mental abilities allow him to be a MUCH better teacher. Gamoth and Leia can then teach him combat dodge (and martial arts?) in exchange.
For what it's worth, all the GREEK druids on Oerth are officially out to get rid of Gamoth. Followers of Artemis are REALLY out to just kill him...he has knock three different druidesses of Artemis down the Heirarchy, one of which he killed and "raped" (long story; those chicks are fragile!). Most of the other druidic orders (Celts, elves, Ehlonna/Meilikki) are ambivalent because he's helped 'em (Highland Wars, Hannok and Mirkquinn, etc) but also "not their kind of guy"...he's just too "weird" with his drowic and lizard man apprentices, willingness to eat hobbits and burn down elven woods, and fondness for particular animals! There are several rumors that he's a member of the Shadow Circle...
And beyond that, no one ever finished the Temple of Elemental Evil. I think it might be time to go back...hint, hint...!
