After an over five-month trek, during which they played around with magic items and exchanged skills training, the party arrives at the portal.

During the journey, Treblo teleports in for a visit, bringing Ichi back into the party.

The heroes wait roughly a month for the portal to activate.

On what would be the 6th of April, 618 on Oerth, they step through. They come out in the middle of a garden courtyard of a castle. It’s nighttime, there is a single moon in the sky. A flurry of arrows whizz at them. Ichi (who has infravision) sees that the arrows are coming from orcs wearing Japanese armor.
