The party made plans to storm Yadfa's home and recover the cooked accounting books for Aayam. The plan which was settled on was to have some of the party provide a distraction in the street by posing as performers while other party members threw live chickens over the compound wall to distract the guards and guard dogs. (Nothing creates chaos live loose chickens.)
Meanwhile, at the rear of the compound the holy slayer and the mage snuck into the compound and climbed up to the second floor while invisible. While still invisible, the pair searched room-to-room in the presence of guards and unfriendlies until they found the right room (setting off an audible alarm). Guards responded, but fell victim to a maxed out sleep spell. A search of the office turned up the fake accounts and a hidden alcove with the real books. Both were acquired and with a second sleep spell the coast was clear and the pair made their exit.
With much squabbling, the account books were taken to Beli'a and the High Priestess made aware of the entire story. Overnight the highlights of the account records were transcribed for future use.
In the morning the group met with Selana to say hello.
That evening the party (with Beli'a in tow) met with Aayam a second time at the Peacock Lounge.
Aayam was disconcerted to see Beli'a present, but paid the party for the books as promised. During the transaction, Anwar used his powers to undo Aayam's face scarf and discovered that their client Aayam is actually one of Yadfa's wives who we saw when we took Yadfa to court the second time. Anwar told her he recognized her and in a panic she made a hasty exit.
The next morning Anwar received a note telling him to meet with Aayam in the Temple Square at noon. Anwar and the priest went to the meeting and were informed that Yadfa was smuggling in both gems and beer, but proof was needed. His operations are centered upriver south of town and the party was told to hurry and return with a cask of beer as proof before Yadfa could close down the operation and reestablish his smuggling from elsewhere.
Beli'a also told the party to get to it when informed of the conversation. Thus directed, Anwar and the priest gathered the party together to travel out of town on a beer run.
