After healing up from the Nereganti slave ring adventure, the party dropped by the Mosque of the Honored Elders to give Beli'a Kadiga's letter and her gift to the temple. Beli'a wanted Kadiga to ask in person, so she sent the party back to the bathhouse to get her. Ahe instructed one of the Mosque priests to accompany us and gave him her personal token in case the Muluks (cops) got in the way. En route a woman passes a note telling us to meet her that night at seven at the Peacock Lounge to discuss a matter of mutual interest. The party bungles over to the bathhouse and finds the door repaired but locked. Anwar unlocks the door and the party is immediately assaulted by skeletons. A quick battle ensures, but it is over quickly. The party then enters the bathhouse, shutting the door behind them. Skeleton eeps 139 per person As Turesh is attempting to talk Kadiga out of her hidey-hole, a group of Muluks break down the front door. Their leader, Malmud, tells the group we're all going to see Yadfa immediately or we'll get arrested and/or hurt. As the party is trying without success to talk their way out of the situation, Anwar uses his TK to undo the guard's armor. During the destraction, the priest slips out and returns quickly with Beli'a herself. She sorts things out, fires the guard leader and the party is all dragged back to the Mosque. Drive off eeps for the guards 16 per person Kadiga gets cured - 100 eeps each mission accomplished. The party then learns they all need to find accommodations for themselves. After some discussion, a nice suite is rented in a nicer part of town. The party then sets off for the rendezvous at the Peacock Lounge with the strange lady from earlier. To get in, the party must be unarmored and weapon-free. Anwar decides to lay in ambush to keep an eye on the party from outside, which proves futile. The rest of the party has a fine meal and then meets Ayyam (a Celot??), who pumps us for what we know about Yadfa and undead in the city. The party makes the encounter painful for all, but we learn that Yadfa has two dark mages in this acquaintance who he does business with - Ali al Yazan, a linen merchant, and Jumal al Yindanum. Both are rumored to be capable of creating undead. (Not to mention Selru and Artatu from the slave ring.) The party leave the lounge, Anwar falls off the roof, they heal Anwar, then go home to reequip. When the door is opened, the party finds Turesh's wolf torn to bits and gnawed on and a room full of ghouls. The ghouls, of course, attack. The party does okay initially until all but one party member is paralyzed. Luckily people come around in time to save the day (except for the wolf). Ghoul eeps 112 per person I just know our security deposit on the apartment just got hosed. Beli'a is made aware of the undead in the city and is PISSED. (As there was no treasure this time, so was the party.)
