Gorma-Sar asks ‘Beaver about their bargain to release him. The shaman attempts to dispel magic to free the necromancer’s spirit, but the spell fails. The two speak briefly with Gorma-Sar sharing the idea to use vampire blood to form the bloodstone for this world. Treblo itemizes the Ichi statue to carry him along till he can cast stone to flesh on the monk. The SkyMage also casts fly on Stephan so he can move around despite his severed foot. The heroes (Idky, Torr, Ichi, Squattingbeaver, Lowdog, Stephan, Aine, and Treblo) then gather up some wooden stakes in preparation for the vampire fight
Treblo teleports them to the village outside Calvados, where ‘Beaver tests out his new mind power with Yavin to find out what it is. Yavin wonders what he’s doing with an attack mode—id insinuation. Idky then naps everyone, Treblo and Idky restore Ichi, and they buff up before the cleric lighten loads everyone so the mage can cast teleport without error to bring the whole party to Sidra’s palace, specifically where the captured women are being held.
The heroes appear in the midst of ghouls and vampires—in the dark! No one can see and Torr's magical sword's light goes out -- canceled by the standing continual darkness. Stephan lights up his fire robe, providing some light and Ichi starts attacking ghouls, destroying one. All but one of the remaining ghouls are hedged by Torr’s aura but the vampires start attacking. Aine gets stunned by a vampire and crumples
Ichi clears out two more ghouls. Treblo magic missiles a vampire, dropping her. Stephan attempts to stake the vampire but misses. Lowdog spikes her and gets her blood on his sword for the amulet as ‘Beaver jumps away from his vampire to get to Idky’s ghoul. Unfortunately, he gets hit in the back on the way. Idky breaks away to get to Lowdog and the vampire's "life" blood.
Aine’s vampire grabs her and starts draining the hapless witch while another vampire attacks Lowdog from behind. This time, Idky holds steady to receive the blood from the totemic warrior's blade. Stephan casts grease on Aine, but the vampire's grip on the witch is too strong. Dresher transfers hit points to her mistress while Torr dusts four ghouls. Treblo magic missiles the vampire on Aine, and she drops just as the witch regains consciousness (but not quite her wits). Ichi jumps to defend Lowdog and also takes on a second one as well. One vampire goes down, and the other suffers a broken arm. Nice! Unfortunately, Idky doesn’t hold still enough for the blood to go into the right hole on the amulet
Ichi continues attacking vampires, unintentionally turning one gaseous. Torr manages to turn one ghoul—‘Beaver’s. Treblo magic missiles Torr’s vampire, but splits his missiles between her and a door lock. The vampire goes down just as Aine’s vampire gets back up.
Stephan steps up to defend Aine’s body, dropping the vampire again. ‘Beaver casts max cure serious on Aine while Idky now gets the first bloodstone, thanks to Lowdog. Torr dusts the remaining ghouls
Lowdog casts detect invisibility and announces the locations of the gaseous vampires. Idky blanket faerie fires them all as Aine casts control vapor to bring one into a bottle.
Now, coming down the hallway are three ghouls and eight (three fresh) vampires. Torr dusts the three ghouls and turns the vampires. Aine, meanwhile, collects the vaporous form of another vampire
‘Beaver starts kicking cell doors open to release the prisoners. There are 24 women here and ‘Beaver instructs them to move to the back of the room. Idky casts two lighten loads on the women to prep them for Treblo's teleport. Idky notices that the blood is starting to solidify, so they have to rush off after the vampires while the SkyMage teleports away with a dozen of the women. Stephan stays behind to protect the remaining women and casts detect invisibility.
As the heroes enter the room the vampires are in, the door opens and five more vampires come through. One casts lightning bolt down the hallway. Aine goes down, and Dresher gets vaporized...!
Lowdog, Ichi, ‘Beaver (lion form), and Torr rush in to attack.
Stephan pours a healing potion into Aine’s mouth, but she doesn't respond. One unengaged vampire reaches to the heavens and invokes some unknown power.
Torr's blows turns one vampire gaseous and the paladin moves forward and engages ‘Beaver’s vampire. Aine, unfortunately, suffers a horrible shock from the death of her familiar and dies.
‘Beaver's vampire stuns the shaman in lion form. Ichi’s vampire presses a jewel on her necklace and becomes five (mirror image) while Idky rushes in and attacks ‘Beaver’s vampire with his torch. Lowdog slashes another to gas and also takes on ‘Beaver’s vampire. The paladin similarly sends another straight to gaseous form. The poor monk, meanwhile, misses on all his swings against the mirror imaged vampire. Stephan helps out by magic missiling three of Ichi’s vampire’s illusions, removing them.
Ichi manages to land a blow on the real vampire, messing her up. Torr helps out Ichi, taking out the remaining illusion and also sends the vampire gaseous. Stephan magic missiles a vampire, dropping her down. Lowdog spikes her and cuts off her head and Idky receives the blood in the amulet.
The next room looks like an audience chamber and Torr starts following the gaseous vampires. Once he knows where they are, Idky faerie fires them all for a moment.
16 ghouls charge Torr, and he dusts 13 of them before the gang arrives. During the melee, one ghoul burns itself to death on Stephan’s fire cloak.
In the next room, there are coffins all over. Torr saw where they went and stake them all and get their blood. At five vampires, the bloodstone looks full, a fact the ghost of Gorma-Sar confirms. Gorma-Sar also tells ‘Beaver that the turned vampires are spawn who are about to become free-willed with their masters slain.
‘Beaver checks on Aine and realizes she’s dead and brings her body over to the rest of the group. Meanwhile, Treblo has come and gone with the last group of women, so all of the victims are now safe.
‘Beaver sets Gorma-Sar’s bones by the vampires, and Treblo casts disintegrate on them all. Gorma-Sar is finally released to his afterlife and only one vampire survives the spell. Torr immediately turns it back and ‘Beaver jumps it. Lowdog sends it to gas, and Beaver kills it with his special dagger.

The relic is the eye of Ishtar, a powerful relic from the first humans: gives power over living and dead, a powerful ward vs. unlife (vs. Ishtar’s sister); can cure injury the unloving can cause; as long as the wearer serves the ancient gods, it is safe to wear.
The palace spirit offends the shaman, so he cuts off the communion. The palace spirit sends in ghouls, which Torr starts to vaporize. Treblo doesn't want to hang around, so he teleports them all back to Calvados.
Eeps (vampires, ghouls, save women): 18,475 each
1st bloodstone: 2000 each
Beaver fire scries Turquoise Rain and works out a deal with the mage so Treblo can teleport to her and bring her to Calvados.
Mission Accomplished!
The Bloodstone of Charn is formed.
Sidra has been destroyed.
Several of Charn's cities have been cleared of (most) undead.
Aurora now rules (with fairness) a mixed community of refugees in Calvados.
It's time for the heroes to head on to the next world, Etheria...!
That is, after Treblo brings Stephan back to Oerth to have his arm and foot regenerated and possible help change the party make-up. And there's still treasure to divide...please post below so we can do it online BEFORE the next game...
