The battle in Pommeville continues...
With Torr, Lowdog, and Yavin down and surrounded by two two-headed trolls, with Aine (and Dresher) on Zayüß' back fleeing four trolls and an ettin, with Aurora running for her life chased by a regular troll and two two-headed trolls...
Idky passes plant through the trees to set up behind one of the 2-headed trolls standing over Torr, Lowdog, and Yavin, while Stephan invisibly sneaks up behind the severely wounded troll. On the ethereal plane, 'Beaver eats goodberries...
Stephan backstabs his troll and kills it with a single hit. Unfortunately, the troll which Aurora shot regenerates and stands back up at roughly the same time.
The troll that Idky snuck up behind him isn't surprised and runs to attack Stephan, swallowing the assassin's right arm whole and biting it off at the shoulder!
Idky decides to cast cure critical wounds on Lowdog to bring him up. Stephan, fountaining blood, continues to attack the troll. Zayüß continues to bait the trolls and ettins pursuing him and Aine, acting as if he's gone lame to keep the monsters interested...
Aurora's troll runs up behind Idky. Stephan's troll brings him near death, but he loses blood and passes out.
Idky casts cure serious wounds on Torr to bring him up, taking a small bit of fire damage from Torr's immoliation field.
Idky and Lowdog get ravaged by incoming trolls. Aine gets her spells back, but she's still riding Zayüß and can't cast anything. The warhorse, meanwhile, continues to bait the trolls, faking being wounded and tumbling out-of-control down the hill.
Idky interposes between Lowdog's troll and him, trying to take the heat off of Lowdog. It doesn't work. That's when a raven (Montrose) drops in and applies medicine herbs to Yavin. Lowdog gets taken down again.
Torr comes up and takes out the newly-regenerated troll in a single hit. Zayüß and Aine continue to lead the pack of trolls and ettin on a goose chase around and away from the battle.
'Beaver, who had healed himself on the ethereal plane, starts fading back to the Prime reality. Montrose flies off into the face of an incoming troll, leading him off and away. The two-headed troll takes on both Torr and Idky.
'Beaver casts max cure serious wounds on Lowdog. Now that Torr has engaged the troll and free up the cleric, Idky casts aid on Torr and pulls out of combat.
The troll that Montrose led off starts back to the group. 'Beaver casts max cure serious on Yavin to bring him up.
Torr takes down the two-headed troll. Idky casts flameblade. The incoming troll goes after Torr but is no match for the paladin.
Idky finishes off one of the downed trolls with his flameblade. Torr takes out the incoming troll. Lowdog lops of the head of another downed troll.
'Beaver starts bandaging Stephan and Torr whistles for his warhorse. Lowdog starts chopping at the downed two-headed troll. Torr stands guard and receives healing from Yavin. Idky finishes off the one-headed troll corpse.
Zayüß hears his master's call and races up the hill, as some of the trolls come up the hill toward the party directly. Idky starts on the two-headed troll corpse, using his flameblade to cauterize the necks. Torr rushes to take the two incoming trolls. Lowdog takes a moment to cast cure light wounds on himself. 'Beaver casts cure light wounds Stephan to bring the one-armed assassin/mage up.
The trolls attack Torr, one taking fire damage for its efforts and the other clawing at his poor wittle singed eyebrows.
Lowdog summons his onyx dog. Torr takes out one troll and starts on the other. Aine dismounts from Zayüß. Montrose returns and applies medicine herbs to the warhorse. Idky finishes off the two-headed troll. Stephan gets up, but he's still groggy.
Two more trolls and and ettin arrive and start in on Torr. The ettin hits Torr but is stunned by the reflexive fire damage of the paladin's aura of flames.
Stephan eats his goodberries. Idky rushes up and finishes off a downed troll. Lowdog runs up to help out Torr with the stunned ettin, bringing it near death. Aine creates two phantasmal bugbears to help out with the trolls. Lowdog's dog attacks one of Torr's trolls and drops it. 'Beaver cure lights Lowdog.
The dropped troll gets back up the next round. The trolls pop one of Aine's bugbears. A two-headed troll and a normal troll from the group chasing Aurora start back in toward the fight.
'Beaver cure lights Lowdog. The bugbear attacks a troll and misses. Lowdog takes out the ettin and starts on a troll. The dog brings the troll back down. Torr takes out another troll and hits the other to keep it down. Yavin flies up to look around and spots the incoming trolls and calls to the princess, but Aurora doesn't answer. Idky finishes off one of the downed trolls. Montrose applies medicine herbs to Aine.
Yavin says that the trolls are fleeing to the gate. Idky finishes off the last downed troll nearby. Yavin faerie fires an incoming troll. Lowdog leaps off after the incoming trolls. Torr rips off Idky's cloak, throws it on Zayüß to protect the horse from the paladin's flaming aura.
'Beaver: "Really??!!" at Torr's action. The shaman gives eight goodberries to Idky.
Yavin flies up, drops a globe of darkness between the fleeing trolls and the gate and tells them he destroyed the gate, not that they can understand a word. Yavin's ruse confuses the trolls, causing them to hesitate. Lowdog closes.
Still flying, Yavin casts obscurement between the darkness and the gate. As 'Beaver starts giving Torr goodberries one at a time, Torr grabs the bag and burns up 16 berries. He ends up only getting three. Idky: "You idiot!"
Lowdog and the dog engages the trolls. The trolls take out the dog. Another 2-headed troll starts heading over.
Lowdog activates his ring of darkness and leaps to the side, out of harm's way. Yavin starts calling to the trolls to distract them. Idky, Torr, and Beaver head off to help out Lowdog.
One of the trolls wanders into Lowdog's darkness, groping around for him. Fortunately, Yavin can see Lowdog and tells him to watch out. Yavin faerie fires the other two trolls beneath him.
Torr hops onto Zayüß' back and activates his sword's dispelling ability, but fails to dispel his own immolation...8-(
Lowdog starts to leap away in his darkness but slams into a tree, hurting himself. 'Beaver takes 1/4 potion of invisibility as he heads over to the battle. Torr leaps off Zayuss, instructing him to lead the trolls to him.

The troll manages to find Lowdog and attacks, but gets a mouthful of tree instead. Lowdog gets in a lucky hit on the troll. Zayüß arrives and draws all three trolls back toward Torr, Idky, and 'Beaver. As they get close to Idky, the cleric airwalks up out of their way.
Lowdog deactivates his darkness and leaps off to follow the trolls.
The clever warhorse leads the trolls right back to Torr, Aine, her illusionary bugbear, and the invisible shaman.
Stephan comes out of hiding and asks Yavin to heal him, but the cleric of Celestian has already cast flameblade. Montrose swoops in, however, and applies medicine herbs to the assassin's wounds, conversing with him.
Yavin flameblades a troll. Idky casts flameblade as well. Aine sics the bugbear on Torr's troll, dropping it. 'Beaver attacks Yavin's troll from behind (and from invisibility). It turns around and attacks him.

Yavin chops off 'Beaver's troll's arm with his flameblade -- that's one arm that will never grow back! Idky removes one of the downed 2-headed troll's heads with his own flameblade. Stephan sets up behind 'Beaver's troll.

'Beaver moves about the group using medicine herbs on all who can use them. The party then asks Montrose to look for the missing Aurora. Yavin links with the wereraven-shaman's mind telepathically, but there's no sign of the Princess. Yavin flies off to find Aurora himself.
The rest of the group heads back, collecting loot from the bodies of the trolls, ettins, and goblins.
