As the heroes (Maedhros, Torr, Idky, Squattingbeaver, Lowdog, Aine with Dresher, Stephan, and Yavin) begin to tend to their wounds, the six invisible stalkers come into the runestone chamber through the blasted air vents. Aine lights them all up with faerie fire. After healing up, the group starts attacking the stalkers from the safety of Torr and Idky's protection from evil auras. Between Torr's melee attacks and Idky and Lowdog's missile attacks, the heroes send the invisible stalkers back to their plane of origin in short order.
A few whacks from Torr and Lowdog finally shatters the clay runestone. 'Beaver sees the energy cause an explosion on the skyship above the crystal ziggaraut. Then from several thousand feet above, the the ship falls onto the building while the heroes attempt to rush downstairs to safety -- don't don't make it as the skyship is moving over a hundred miles an hour in about 10 seconds...! The building shatters around the ground with shards of crystal and slices of metal as well as bits of wood raining down on the heroes. Idky and Maedhros get critically hit by the shrapnel...
The released spirits of the planet of Charn are finally free! Using their combined magical powers, the spirits cast levitate on everyone (including Stephan's body and the princess) so their saviors don't fall to their deaths six stories below amid the wreckage of the ziggaraut.
Green pulse goes out of princess and follows the ley line south. Aine explains that Sidra let harm come to the princess, so she is now must be weakened for breaking her oath.
Blessings from spirits --
Aine: She and familiar healed up and cleaned up, her scar is removed, and she is told the nature of her psychological damage. Hierophants give her cantrip as a power, and she now has an affinity for the Hierophants, and they grant her access to spells. 10th level witch spirit follows her around
Stephan: restore life for 55 days. Gets ability to become a 0-level mage.
Yavin: Baru priests teach him how to cast horoscopes. Healed and bullet removed. 14th level witch follows him around
Beaver: Spirit of witch queen follows him around. Healed and bullet removed. Limited wish--ability to shape shift into a hummingbird. They tell him where to find a dangly earring in Nashborough that will help him. Ashipu priests assist him. He can now see any invisible, polymorphed, ethereal demons.
Lowdog: Protected by Temple Reavers (Guti Barbarians). Grant him fast healing (1 hp/hour). Healed and legend lore for his ring (adjustable darkness)
Torr: Healed to full, treasure to tithe teleported back to Pommeville gate. Legend lore on his shield. Protected by Knights of Marduk, granted Eyes of Marduk (dragon senses out to 30'). Gets a "familiar"/warhorse.
Maedhros: Priests of Ea take pity on him and offer to cure him of his 'deformity'. He politely declines, but gets his spell books restored and legend lore on his travelers pearl. Ages three years. Put wizard mark on the cleric's forehear "not a bad guy, do not kill". Only Babylonian high priests can see it. Now included in spirit prayers on Charn.
Idky: Fully healed, bullet removed. Spirits of Desert Riders protect him and grant boon--can backstab as a thief of his level. Spirit of witch queen also follows him.
City is in ruins.
A gallu demon and vrock appear, look over the party and say they will go tell Sidra, and then teleport away. The parties fetches the earring Beaver was interested in plus some clothes for Aurora and a few supplies before heading southward into Belvar...Sidra's lands...
