The heroes (Gazer, Jason, Sam, Gilean, Malkierian, Björk, Bart, Swaying Oak) search the second level of the Star Cairn. In the prison, the group finds an elven cleric, Skiera of Sehanine, as well as the merchants Gil and Sullivan Henway. The merchants try to bribe the party into bringing them back to civilization, but no one is interested. The party finds a secret door to the third level where the battle and narrowly defeat a pair of helmeted horrors. The group then retires to the alchemical lab to recover.
