The heroes (Dion, Sky, Pepper, Dor, Corvin, River, and Soren) fell back and got support and supplies. With the help of Esmerelda and the StrongArm children, the party held their earlier victories and with fresh supplies (including arrows), continued on to find their captured allies.
Joined by Mang (mostly recovered) and the gnomish bard, Basil, as well as Billi the Cooshee, the party began tracking their friends by scent and blood splatter. The group quickly picked up the trail and discovered a series of holding cells guarded by a handful of kuo-toa. The heroes quickly slaughtered these fishmen and after a search found a number of other gnomes, humans, and others, including Daj, Marc, and Helga. The half-dryad was in good shape and all had been tended, but Marc's spine is broken in several places while Helga's right had been removed.
The heroes fell back with Mang, Dor, Daj, Dion, and Sky acting as a rear guard. Three monitors and four kuo toan guards nearly killed them, dropping everyone save Dor who managed to last long enough for Basil, River, and Soren to hear him and save the other party members.
Horribly beaten but victorious, the party escapes with all three of their human allies. Unfortunately, all three have lost all of their items, but all live while the fishmen have taken crippling losses.
Who wants to go back and recover the lost treasure the next day?
