The heroes (Daj, Helga, Cliffy, Alec, River, and Soren) prepare to battle the strange water monster. Just then, Dion runs into the room, having finally caught back up with the party and following their trail of destruction through the Temple. While Alec begins to heal Helga, Cliffy falls back and Soren snatches Daj away from the water-demon. River unleashes his arrows to no effect, although his petrification arrow briefly covers the thing in mud.
Using the time, the heroes fall back and regroup. Soren hacks one tentacle of mud, freeing the water tentacle below. Meanwhile, River's arrows have no further effect. Dion moves up and unleashes a simple purify water spell to devastating effect.
The water creature lashes out, but only grazes Soren. Dion does a second purify waterspell, seriously hurting the water-creature. Ironically, however, the creature is now completely free of the mud and lashes out with all four of its tentacles. It pulls Soren underwater, destroying her magical scroll and drawing off some of that energy to heal itself. In addition, River too falls in, feeding the creature.
River draws his knife as Soren flies to safety. Helga now joins Dion and both unleash purify waterspells, destroying the water monster. The heroes tend their wounds and plan their next move.
Helga sanctifies the chamber with the summoning pool quite quickly then starts on the main Water Temple. Two hours into the ceremony, an ochre jelly arrives, but the heroes quickly slay it. After more than four hours, the final Elemental Temple falls...
The heroes retreat to their campsite and divide their treasure. In the morning, they plan their next move (hold the game til Rachel is free for the GIRL POWER of Pepper).
