After a pleasant evening, the heroes (Ichi, Idky, Squattingbeaver, Lowdog, Yavin, Robyndella with Meldenya, and Widdershins the unicorn) wake up, only t be attacked by THREE shambling mounds from the river. Amazingly, the heroes manage to defeat all of the monsters, although Lowdog is nearly killed after being entangled by one of the mounds. Widdershins had been similarly grabbed, but dimension doored safely away.
The heroes deal with their wounds and rest a bit, but Lowdog is captivated by a scent in the air, only to find himself attacked by three bushes of white rosebushes. The other heroes come to the totemic warrior's rescue, defeating a total of six of these blood drinking rosa rubiflora vampirica.
The heroes travel past lunch and are then ambushed by a pair of giant crocodiles. Finally, late in the afternoon, Lowdog, Robyndella, and Widdershins become captivated by a strange, sweet scent -- a pair of mantraps. The heroes manage to destroy these plant-monsters too, but the three don't snap out of their trance until Squattingbeaver spends a few hours determining that the scent of the plant burning breaks the scent-induced torpor.
The night passes uneventfully...
