I'm not really sure how we could use Omega's horsemouth as a bargaining chip. It's not like we have any way of providing what Mordrammo is giving him Jellie: "You are such a goody two shoes...Soren would like you. Of COURSE we don't have any way of really helping him, but he doesn't know that! Course we'd have to get him to talk to us instead of just trying to spike Mik..."

Daj to Pepper: "I don't know, but Omega seems like a very unsavory time. I do agree that we've made some preeety rookie moves...*optimistic smile*"
Mikhail to the party: "I will be honest; I do NOT like the idea of me going toe-to-toe with Omega. That man is tough -- I'd say at least as tough as my sister, maybe tougher. I'm not much good in a 'fist-fight' *sigh*." The young psionist gives a side-long look at the party. I think it's best if I stay in null-time as long as I can. I might have another trick I can pull, but we want to nail him so he doesn't teleport, so it's probably not a great idea. Too bad I haven't mastered teleport anchor yet...*grin at Clanndennagh*"
DM: there was no sign of Omega's bow or arrows. Daj did a quick search and reports he was seriously wounded and even points to where he must have been impaled on a section of roofing beam during the fall. He couldn't be in good shape any longer...
Game is on Sunday and we'll be having a FULL HOUSE -- Van, Ray, Gordon, and Rachel plus Eric plus Jeff and Aaron plus maybe Elf and possibly Dobbie and Andonia. If everyone shows, Pepper and Daj start their period and Cliffy still has a broken arm.

The only reason your uncle allowed some of us to play multiple characters during this campaign was because there were few players at the time. The stipulation was that the "extra" characters (i.e. Cliffy, Dajamira, Pepper, and the now-turned-to-stone-and-smashed-to-pieces Max) would go away if and when more players joined. As much as I'd love to have the extra firepower, game play would get bogged down with all those characters. I mean, we're talking 13 (or 14?) characters plus the animal menagerie if everyone does show up for this game tomorrow. So that's why they must go. Ten characters will still be a handful but a bit easier to deal with. Hope that answers your question. I think your uncle is out on a hike right now, so he wouldn't get your message for a while.

Interestingly, there goes the bulk of our spellcasters. That sucks, but Van is right....we have extra characters to fill out the party when we have fewer players. And I made an agreement with David to pull Pepper out of the party if it got too full, so she'll be off with Daj, doing girlstuff and probably sparring and hunting for parsley.

You weren't on the original Vertigo game, were you? There were about 10 people in the room, about 1/2 of which were playing 2 charaters. Go figure.

Well, that's sorta true, but Van's right -- the Temple of Elemental Evil game is one PC per player, with an allowance for two if and ONLY if we're lacking players for a game or there is an unavoidable campaign reason.
After talking with your mom, I think you boys will probably be going back to "guest cameo" status rather than "regular players" which will leave Van, Ray, Gordon, Rachel, and Eric as core. That gives six regulars plus possibly Elf, Jason, Jeff, and Aaron. Given the current situation with Omega, yeah, Adama is back but ONLY until he and/or Lassivar can be dealt with (honestly, with a large group, it's hard to play both Adama and Mikhail). Because the party moved last game, Marc will probably not be able to join right back up, but I'll let Cliffy buy a heal for 1000gp and return first thing next game (so you have a mage and because Marc would have no way to get to Griffon Mountain or catch up with the group, although, Ray, we should talk about your new critters before next weekend).
As for the Vertigo games, we had seven players (Paul, Kari, Ray, Elf, Jenn, Jeff, Aaron) and eleven or so characters. Keep in mind also that the first four were very used to working with each other and keeping game-flow moving. No offense at all to Sunday's group; the other group had been playing longer.

Huh. I remember more players. Maybe it was all the hype about the game, though.
I see your point though. In the beginning, it was tough to deal with everyone. It got settled out as people got used to playing with each other, characters got knocked unconcious/killed, ect.

And those were some of the MOST powerful characters in the game...Tetsuko the world's greatest swordsperson, Artec the world's greatest archer, etc...
