Hi! I was wondering if sorcerers can specilize in a school of magic? I know that they wouldn't have any controll over it oficialy because there powers are in their bood, but you could say that you want them to be an evocater and you have a chance for it to work. I think it would make sence that there are sorcerers who can only cast fire spells, or can only cast enchantment spells. I'm just spewing out ideas...

Howdy Buddy! Well, Aaron, spew away....! Actually, I do totally allow this. I know I need to update the version of the Sorcerer class on my website, but the rules I've been running with for the last year or more have been: * a sorcerer uses, by default, the full spell list of a mage. A sorcerer similarly levels just like a mage. * a sorcerer can choose a limited spell list based on a specific class (DM approval and player justification required). Such a sorcerer then uses the eep chart for the class' spell list. For instance, most of you remember Sonja (my young Rhennee/Gypsy sorceress). Well, she draws her spells from the witch list rather than the mage one (that's why she can heal). As a result, she uses the witch eep chart to level. I think Sonja represents the "edge" of what's okay -- no cleric or druid sorcerers, please. Now, a sorcerer that taps illusionist or summoner or necromancer spells would be quite cool, I think. The first two could represent a character with a heritage that allows direct manipulation of the cosmos while the later could be some "spawn" of the lower planes or undead. I dunno about an evoker sorcerer, only because then the character is little more than a blaster (I think the lack of diversity would get the character killed), but it's your character.
