I thought I'd already made this change, but clearly there's no record of it (except in my mind, and if everything I thought out were to become real, well, the house would be crammed full of stuff I would actually finish, including both my novel and history book...but I digress)...
So, There were three minor changes I wanted to make to the Monk character class.
a) at 6th lvl a monk can strike bare-fisted like a magic weapon. Kensai can do this at 3rd and barbarians at 4th. Since monks are even more "spiritually attuned" this seems resonable to me.
b) at 11th lvl a monk can strike bare-fisted like a +2 weapon. Again kensai and barbarians get this at 6th, so maybe I'm still being too much of dick?
c) at 15th lvl a monk may astrally project
Thoughts?

I like the changes, but I also feel you could relax it a little more than you did. As you said a monk is a little more spiritually aware than a Barbarian or a Kensai, therfore they should be able to do this at the same level or sooner. That is just my $.02 worth.
Paul p.s. i actually tend to have several dollars in change worth if you ever really want to know.

Thanks guys.
Ray, the combat benefits are just moving in sooner than my previous article. The Astral Projection is a classic bit from nearly all cultural traditions -- China, India, Japan, etc for spiritually empowered-but-not-necesarily-priestly folks.
