The heroes moved a slight distance away from the carnage of the battle. Ling, using the potion of giant strength in her system and another magical item, transported the party across the river, where there were fewer bugmen. Once there, the group met up with Sergeant Hourish of the Elite Cavalry, the only survivor of his unit. Meanwhile, Harbinder began meditating while Flint attempted to reconnoiter the Princess' command center. For the first time since being touched by Chaos, Flint swam, realizing his webbed fingers and toes greatly enhanced his ability to swim. He crossed the al-Zalim and approached the smouldering mound that was Hadra's pavillion. Getting close, he quaffed the last gulp of Ling's potion of invisibility. Unfortunately, he found no remains of the princess or her mage companions, although there were plenty of "bits" of her bodyguards.
The group decided (after much bickering) to head downstream to toward Muluk. Two hours later, just before nightfall, the group made camp. Very soon, Kamar returned, seeking to discharge one of his last two boons. He explained that is was he who rescued Hadra from certain death at the hands of the thri-kree. She and two of her followers were now safely at the new mosque-complex under the Sakina Falls, with the followers of Jisan of the Floods. After much more debate, the Sabuto asked as his boon for Kamar to transport the heroes back to Muluk. Unfortunately, it would take three trips...
Late in the evening, Flint, Isaac, and Hourish were on watch while Harbinder meditated. Then they spied a pair of thri-kree hunters. Harbinder managed to open a wormhole, but it took quite some time. Meanwhile, the three warriors exchanged missile fire with the bugmen. The four leapt through the unsable wormhole, arriving in the Palace, only to have the two thri-kree follow! Luckily for the heroes, the battle was short and fairly one-sided with none of the heroes being paralyzed (although Flint and Isaac were seriously wounded) -- the noise drew Sabuto and Herrod, in fact, who joined the fray.
Now resting in the Palace of the Sultan, the heroes wait for dawn, their wounds tended by the palace healers...
