The lower level party got together to divide their magical items and loot from the various raids under the Mound of Forgiveness. Harbinder dropped by for a visit with her brother and Flint asked her about Asha's condition. Several of the heroes from both parties pooled their resources and were able to get enough treasure for Asha and Omar to be disjuncted. Unfortunately, it was already too late for Jamal.
The heroes then divided their treasure and discovered a map. The map is clearly quite old -- instead of referencing Muluk it references In'aash. Likewise, other points of interest on the Chun map are Al-Anwahr, Nog, and Kadar. To the side of the map is a totally unknown script -- all attempts to decypher it at the Mosque of a Thousand Fountains failed. Arthur used a comprehend languages then to reveal at least the text:
The star on the map, however, was in a channel between a number of the smaller, more remote Pirate Isles.
The heroes then made a deal -- the higher level party were to supply a ship and the lower level party were to supply the map with both parties looking for this spot on the map. Meanwhile, many of the crew went looking for magical items in the suq. Although they found many alchemists of worth (using Su's mind reading powers to weed out the charlatans and marginal brewers), scrolls of real interest were lacking. Perhaps soon more will come onto the market? The heroes certainly have time before their ship is ready...
...which brings me to the question for the players -- WHAT KIND OF SHIP DO YOU WANT TO BUY? A caravel is 10,000gp but requires a crew of 15. On the bright side, however, it can carry 50 people plus 180 tons of cargo and is very sea-worthy. Realistically, I don't see the group keeping 15 able-bodied sailors (both PC and NPC) alive in the long-term. Looking over the previous posts, it looks like you were assuming you were going to buy a cog which costs 20,000gp, requires a crew of 8 (4 if you just want to limp), carries 20 people plus 150 tons of cargo, and is also very sea-worthy (this is the ship that made the Hanseatic League da bomb for centuries).

After much research among the magi, I believe I have located the spot. This should be where teh White Avatar came to Oerth. I'm sure she lost her mantle but no doubt her gold and treasure remains. I fear that the location lies under the waves -- hopefully a fact which will be good for us.
