Flint is contemplating using the wish ring to bring Isaac back. His line of logic follows that of asking an Efrit for a wish - BE VERY CAREFUL HOW YOU WORD THE WISH.
I know the "evil gods" are the only ones available for granting wishes. I don't know the consequences of dealing with them directly vs dealing with an Efrit.

"Didn't Karim warn us that Wishes couldn't be granted at all right now? I'm not very familiar with the way magic functions, but I believe the djinni warned us that more complex, higher-level spells couldn't be cast? Maybe I misunderstood..."

Hmmm, perhaps an evil god granting a wish is a far worse thing than dealing with an Efrit.
We should not use the ring as it will not work and it *might* call attention to the evil gods on this plane.
The wisdom of finding another path is the correct route.

I'm not on the game...but as a player...the best episode of X-Files I've ever seen was when someone found a genie. Her favorite line, when people were displeased with the outcome of a wish was, "You didnt' specify..." When Mulder wished for World Peace....POOOF....everyone on the planet disappeared except for him ( and the genie). When angrily, he said, "This isn't what I meant!!!" She smile oh-so-sweetly..."You didn't specify." Always....ALWAYS...Be careful what you wish for
