The heroes (Ael'Mara, Darya, Doby, Zevi, Kennibrae, Shannar, Gamoth, Ash, Ramu, Nikaris, Slee, Thera, Andorallan, and Ethan) assembled on the high walkways of the elven settlement in the heart of Fangoria. Below, a group of four hill giants approached, but using flying powers, Ael'Mara, Shannar, joined by Slee and a feather falling Ashtabular slaughtered them. Two more giants were similarly laid waste.
The heroes then began to move toward the Avatar Oak at the heart of the community. Doby explained that Hannok had envoked a forbiddence effect, keeping the invaders from the holy site and giving the elves a perimeter of partial safety. Unfortunately, while the spell proved a match for the whole of the orcish army as well as the ogres and most hill giants, a few trolls and many demons slipped past. Day by day, the wood elves lost more and more people, until only a handful remain. Without aid, the Avatar Oak of Rillifane Rallathil will be lost!
The heroes slaughter several squads of orcs as well as bugbear skirmishers, finally reaching the edge of the forbiddence effect. The entire way, Thera held together a chant granting the heroes an advantage in combat. For his part, Andorallan protected his former party-mate the entire way. At the edge of the Avatar Oak's influence, the heroes see a group of elves being slaughtered by ogres, carnivorous apes, demons and orcs. The heroes rescue the leader, although her two allies fall to orcish poison. The elven mage sends word for Hannok to come, to allow the group to enter the protected region, for the spell only allows access to elves and those that worship their gods. But first Mirquin the drow priestess of Corellon, then Hannok of Rillifane arrive and set matters aright.
Working together the high priestess and Druid heal the heroes. Over the next few days, the heroes conduct a series of raids, each time escaping back into the protected zone. The orcish hold on Fangoria is finally broken and the elves take back their woodland home.
The heroes are declared Friends of Fangoria, their tales and deeds to be sung far and wide by elven bards and minstrals. The heroes celebrate on the 17th of June, as the Apocalypse comes to an end...!
