Be kinda fun if Jason could participate as well, and as usual the Kung Fu Elf would be the way to go. Another tough fighter, particularly one that has a lot of hit points would be a great idea. Tetsuko does deal very nice damage per round, however, she has less than 60 hp, and un-impressive AC. Kate is mighty, but she can't do the job alone. Paul, who are you planning to bring? Maybe we could convince Beulla that it's a giant.

I could potentially play Xena...she's a 4th level fighter and a 9th level cleric...but I think this is more Arianna's thing...she's been there for two of the three gods that have been killed.
Jessica is another option as well...while she is happily enjoying her semi-retirement on Eon, she could be persuaded.
As a note, Arianna cannot cure insanity....Black Robe has a staff of curing that can do that....it's expensive to charge those babies up though...

I'm not sure that casting 'cure insanity' on someone with that god's essence in them would be any more effective than giving Kate a few goodberries...but hey, experimentation could be fun.

oh I'm just thinking about the aftermath...
Once we're all done, you know someone is going to be crazy. Chances are it will be Kate, since she only has a 10 int and a 10 wis...lol
Hey, would a ring of mind shielding prevent you from going insane??

Haha - okay that's true. Tetsuko's been nominated 'most likely to be charmed / controlled' many times, last seen when Nerlathatep convinced her to annhilate Tyris=Flare, a task in which she nearly suceeded.
As I posted in the other thread, magical insanity effects are not likely to be stopped by mental defenses... Oh - but 'Free Will' might protect against it. Hmm... good thinking.

A couple of thoughts and comments... Engineers should not be allowed to make non-engineering decisions. Ever! That's better. Now, back to the thread.... Angela, the plan is that this would indeed be a pick-up game. You are CERTAINLY welcome to make an NPC so you can join us. It would be fun having you on kind of game too... Jason is more than welcome to play Doby. Given his age, Doby's "protection from DM death-field" will still be in effect, so he can be post first level rubber quartered (you do realize I've never actually had to use this, right? And soon he'll be old enough I won't need to...!). I can see some cool role-play with Doby and some of the other party members... If Talon, Sauron, and Chaos were any indication, we will CERTAINLY need more fighters for this one as well. I do not believe anyone has any plans on picking Tyris=Flare up from her island. I *REALLY* doubt anyone would want her to take on the essence of a second Primal God. Why make a bad problem worse? Indeed, on that point, Moorak is feeling guilty and would like to give her some aid, but is a little pinned down with events at home at the moment. It would be reasonable to be dubious of the protection of either Mind Bar or mind blank in the face of this kind of insanity (from the inside out). A ring of mind shielding offers less protection than either of these. A ring of free will would be useless -- the PCs can freely act as insane as they now want to...! I REALLY think that Arianna should go. After all, Athena put her on Talon and Sauron's track as well as gave her LOTS of information about these Primal (demi-) Gods. Even more than has been discussed here, I will point out...! Black Robe REALLY should go too. Not only has he been at each previous fight, but his people, the Lakota LIVE around the ruins of Tovag Baragu (Baklunish Stonehenge) and would be the first to feel any effects. Beyond that, it's anyone's guess. Aris would REALLY like to be on this, but (sneaky) Paul did some role-play as TC...she mentioned to Raitan that a group of heroes was going to go kill a god, so of COURSE he HAD to go too. And Flora isn't going to let the fool run off by himself, especially if this involves the ancient Baklunish (for those that don't know, Flora is Baklunish herself, was fostered by the Sidhe, and has second sight). That said, the DM wants someone with know history to go, and Aris DID get tapped in the first place... We should also have Mang (7th lvl dwarven fighter played by Jeff) and Saanau (6th lvl elven mage played by Aaron). The DM suggests Jessica enjoy her retirement, her children, her soon-to-be-born grandchild and stay out of this one.

Thera is a possibility, she was involved in New Heroes and Hades might give her a weekend pass to participate. I think she is 7th level cleric, but I would need to double check. The level. Not the cleric part. Would Andorallen be joining? She misses her trusty sword-swinging buddy. He likes killing things. She likes dead things. It works out well. jenn

I could swap Kee'O for Quendi, but he's not nearly as tough, or well magic-itemed. And I'd planned on him continuing on in Furyondi. He does have KH as well as the Cat Staff, which could be theoretically used to contain the essence.

My thought here is that if it's a choice between Raitan the mage and Aris the sorcerer....we'll take Aris the sorcerer... No offense, if Raitan isn't going into this thing with alll abilities online, then he should just stay home....as a fighter he gets stuck w/ minions, but at least he can kill them...imagine Raitan the mage getting stuck w/ minions, he wouldn't be able to hit a thing! lol

"Hey! A little respect here! I AM one of the greatest living heroes on Oerth! I DID save the who planet from destruction during the Apocalypse! I AM The Captain, the Knave of Hearts!" *eyebrow wiggle!*
"I tell you, you get stuck fighting minions ONCE and you're branded for life...it's not like I was taken out and carried off by insignificant, mindless monsters or something....well, more than once that is..."
Captain Raitan Drake, Laird of SeaHaven, the Knave of Hearts, Admirial of Furyondy, Savior of Oerth (that would be four times now!)
