The heroes returned to the temple ruins where they slaughtered eight giant ravens and met up with Andorallan. A human fighter, Andorallan had been looking for adventure in Hommlet and been referred to the Nulb region by Byrnie.
Together the whole party entered the dungeon complex and quickly snuck down to the 2nd level, where they found six bugbears (short work) and a temple dedicated to Fire. Here the party accidently let loose four mirror imaged salamanders when Trillian poured holy water on the altar stone.
Doby was seriously burned, his left leg nearly useless, but otherwise with a bit of luck and a very successful fear spell from Jellie, the party managed to kill three of the salamanders and the third remained cowed. In the process, however, the Eye of the Fire Temple came to life and LOOKED at all those present save Sindari and Soren. Cmarelkir and Andorallan are not reincarnated heroes, but Doby turned out to be the incarnation of Arlinoth, Theocrat of Lendor. But, ultimately, Jellie used a gaze reflection to safely cover the now-cracked, broken, and clearly desecrated altar.
