On the morning of the 20h of April, the New Heroes (River, Trillian, Jellie, Soren, Laurel, Doby, Ñìàðýëêèð, and Sindari) returned to Nulb, arriving late in the evening. The following morning, the heroes entered the Temple of Elemental Evil via a broken pane of stained glass high on the wall, but there was evidence that others have been using this method as well.
The heroes did a very brief reconnaissance of the ground level of the main temple. They then descended to the level below, meeting no resistance and finding several long-ago-looted armoreries. The party then found another flight of stairs and descended to the second level underground where they battle a troll, a hydra, bugbear, and numberous priests of the Elder Elemental God.
The heroes searched the rooms and found quite a bit of treasure -- both magical and monetary. They proceeded further and found captives -- two human merchants from Nulb, a man-at-arms named Bart, the Countess Talahi Endoriell of Celene and her consort Sir Aefellir of the Order of Celene, as well as two elven retainers. The heroes escorted the prisoners back to the surfaces, where they enountered giants rats. The Countess used a sleep spell to elliminate the threat, but her magic surged and she fell in love with the rodents instead. Aefellir and Soren restrained the elven noblewoman while the heroes drove off the remaining rats. The group then returned to Nulb to rest.
While bathing, Soren was attacked by three 250lb killer frogs, but Trillian and Ñìàðýëêèð managed to save her.
