The party (Wynd & Thundyr, Conan, Kyron & Dart, Dajamira, Artec the Archer, and Sepharon) stood over fallen giants.
They barely had time to bind their wounds before the heroes could hear a noise. Splitting up, they realized they were caught in a pincher move, with a squad of eight fire giants running down each hallway.
Conan and Daj faced their eight with difficulty. Daj would have been wiped out were it not for her standing mirror images. Conan was far less lucky and nearly pounded into the ground. Wynd animal growthed not just Wynd but also Bess and Vicky, giving the heroes much needed muscle while Kyron invoked a prayer. Artec, meanwhile, was laying down arrows of death in the other passage, supporting Sepharon as the paladin went toe-to-toe, with some added arrows from Wynd.
After roughly two more minutes, more than a dozen jotuns lay dead, with the distant sound of running from the lone survivor (at one hit point!).
