Heroes (Rolf, Benji, Cain, Bruce, Pak, Ren, and Kohl) meet up with Catriona, who joins the group [our family's 1st night with Gloria so we had a distracted start]. The heroes enter the ruins and meet with a couatl, who explains that multiple topaz dragon eggs are in danger for their very souls'. Eight hundred feet down below, the eggs are being held, awaiting a terrible ritual. Also below is a dragon and the couatl is bound that no reptile may know of its involvement, so it tasks the heroes to help it save the infant dragons' souls. The couatl uses some magic to enhance the party, which continues.
The heroes meet and slaughter a few baaz draconians as well as quite a number of goblin miners, letting three go. Scouting by a now-flying Rolf reveals that 700' below is a massive cavern with a number of water sources falling down. The goblins fled via a chute, but there is nowhere to rest. Across one chasm, however, lay a quiet room...with a tomb!
