Heroes (Rolf, Benji, Cain, Bruce, and Pak) meet up with Ren, a shaman from Pak's former party. Together, the group hikes to the hills above the Mist Marsh where they move through oak scrub until they come upon an unattentive guardpost.
Rolf sneaks up and notes six hobgoblins listening to a pair of draconians argue. Cain unleashes a psionic blast that catches most of the foes. Pak, Rolf, and Benji begin cutting a path in. One draconian turns to stone and the other explodes. The group makes very short work of the hobgoblins, but the noise brings down another ten baaz draconians from the higher camp. The heroes cut through them all as they come a few at a time.
The group explores the ruins further, finally coming upon a large central courtyard with a massive shaft in the center. The heroes has slaughtered everything in their path to this point and now enters the ruins recently uncovered from the folliage…
