Joshua, Scout, Viktor, and Gilgamesh awaken amid dark rotten vegetation. They are alone and light is extremely limited. They come together and search, coming to the edge of fields where they battle huge spiders and ghouls, meeting a gun-slinger, 10Bear
The group joins up and heads along the wall of trees, battling more ghouls before encountering and befriending a pack of fire (dire) wolves, who help the group find and reach the nighthag, destroying more ghouls en route.
The nighthag proves to be immune to all the attacks the heroes can muster until Joshua tosses a vial of holy water. That finally gets the 'hag's attention, but before she can do much harm, Scout fetches his wrought iron tetsubo, bashing her skull in. The heroes then rest in her lair, searching it...
