The (Conan, Starglow, Erik, Jason, and Rajinder) spied a room full of bugbear, appearently unarmed and in stasis. Erik detected a magical trap triggered by entering the room. He entered, triggering four bugbear, who moved to attack. Each one would then "shatter" when hit as if protected by Contingency Stoneskin and Mirror Image, although these images were fully independent! The heroes slowly worked their way through the room with Conan's speed and Raj's power turning the tide. Erik used his invisbility and boots to pick off a number as well. In the end, on the far side of the room was an untrapped sarcophagus containing thousands of copper and silver pieces as well as the third key, four scarab fetishes, and a copper ring wrought as a lion's head with an inset golden mane.
The group briefly explored, finding and avoiding an undersea portal to ancient Morgan.
The heroes then gathered to travel to the final, South-Western tower, although Raj wanted to go back for the magical platemail.
