The heroes ascended over 250' to the top level below the rim of the caldera. En route the group made short work of several squads of kzinti, minotaur, and even thri-kree. A half dozen lupogriffs were also slain although they and the twin manticore managed to wound Mas and Joshua and cripple Soren, despite her magical armor. Were it not for her magical flight, she would have been both useless and dead. Good thing Artec was there. Conan and Mas completely overwhelmed the minotaur in combat and the kzinti might land a few blows, but the reverse was near-fatal every time.
Once at the top, the group crept through a whole warren of minotaur sleeping chambers. The heroes cut a path of death until they found two large cells near one another. The first contained "soft" humans -- women, youth, the plump, while the second contained "hard" humans -- warriors, old, thin, wounded. Both groups awaited slaughter via different methods. The group arrived in time to save one Flan woman from being eaten alive by three of the minotaur but the "hard" humans told of arena hunts in the caldera.
Total of 24 minotaur, 14 kzinti, 7 thri-kree, 6 lupogriffs, and 2 manticore slain but escort out 41 humans, whom Soren leaves with for 4875 and 4200 xps plus 550 bonus
