The party (Connel MacHamish, Gabriel, Gimble Gemnose, Gretle, Stalking Wolf, Ramson, Saundra, Adora, and Lily) awakens in the Château de Sylaire in Glantri. They manage to free the party members trapped in the wardrobe with a dispel magic although the situation becomes public knowledge.
That morning, the heroes learn that Catharine, Étienne's ex-wife, hung herself. Her butler becomes a werewolf and the heroes are forced to slay him.
That evening, the party again finds itself in the dream reality. This time, Étienne is a young man of 25 and breaking off things with his love, Geneviève. The heroes, lead by Adora, convince the young mage to give love another chance. They arrive just as a priest is executing the young woman. Thanks to Suandra's sacrifice, she's saved, although she now bears a scar on her throat from the incident. Connell squares off with the being going by the name Hazelthrorn, finally driving him off.
