First, Jax tries to "complete" his mission from the previous game to wrestle a snow tiger into submission. On the first attempt, Jax gets close, but the tiger brings him near death. Vinelwa uses a hesitate but the spell fails. Then Joshua actually enters combat to protect the druid of Traala, even though he never lands a blow. Jax defeats the tiger, but elects to try again after being healed. The second time he downs the tiger by himself and completes his personal quest.
Before returning to Zakhara, Vinelwa and Saturim drop off the group and remain in the West.
Later, the party (Flint, Waseem, Joshua, Isra, Jax, and Rowen) are joined by Jamal a metallic green Zakharan man of high station. In exchange for curing Flint of lycanthropy, the heroes are to protect the dowry of the son of the Sultan of Gana. It is in the royal treasury. Just one catch -- the Sultan's daughter is the one trying to steal the dowry so she can ensure her brother's arranged marriage fails. The heroes are specifically warned against killing the young sultana...
The heroes take position and the first day passes fairly easily. After a few hours there's a commotion and nearly a dozen thugs attack the treasury workers. The heroes route the lot after Rowan cuts two in half. Questioning the one he captures reveals a lot of information, but nothing useful. Isra does a detect chaos and discovers someone invisible one room away from the vault, but the mysterious person flees.
