An extremely tall, bald, sad-looking blue stranger comes into the tavern you and your companions are enjoying. He speaks with the bartender and announces that for "a small fee" he will allow any would-be adventurers to "test their mettle" in an extra-dimensional, enchanted maze, full of magical wonders. "You can keep any treasure you find but you will have to find your own way out."
Answering this first challenge in the Black Oak Tavern of Dragondale, baronnial seat of Amberwood are: Jantarf the taagar warrior, Amber Foe-Render the fierce hobbit thief, Li the weretiger, Astrid the Amazing cleric of Balder, Princess Kymmera Drake of Amberwood, Raina (RIP), and Ivar (RIP). The group entered the gem and visited roughly a dozen different locales before finally finding their way out.
