Players: Huginn the Mage, Farhad the Persian Ranger, Folkvar the Cleric, Urthur the hunter, Hasdrubal the Fighter/Cleric/Mage, Cal the Beast Master, and Kahan the Cleric
The party returns to Manea to investigate the temple. Rongo decides to stay behind as he is not happy with this party and is interested by Black Robe. Andar brings in Kahan to replace him. As the party walks back to the black building that is the entry into the human cult area. The party tracks troglodytes, lizardmen, and minotaur.
The party decides to follow the troglodyte tracks to wipe out the evil scaly ones. The party tracks to a dirt road and they see blood. It is troglodyte blood as determined by Skol, Cal’s wolf. Odindisa, the young drake familiar flies up to see what is around. She sees that the island is not as wilderness like as they thought. There are a few small villages and a large city at the end of the road. She also sees farmers working in the fields just a couple hundred feet away. The party decides to hunt down the troglodytes to save the farmers as it seems that they may be in danger. The party tracks for a bit and is ambushed by a lot of troglodytes. Huginn and Kahan manage to even the odds by putting several to sleep. Even more show up as as the rest of the party takes up a fighting line, Kahan casts more sleeps and Huginn blasts a bunch with a huge fireball. The party eventually wittles all the beasts down. Fulkvar struggles to bring his down and is kind of shamed by the mage Huginn walking up and taking the injured final troglodyte with one swing of his staff. The party loots and finds many ioun stones and loot. The party then tracks the troglodytes to a bronze door in the entrance of some limestone caves.
The party tried to open the door with a spear on a rope. Once pulling the rope, a small explosion erupts, damaging Farhad for a point. They are greeted with a huge group of troglodytes. Kahan throws a darkness stone into the hallway. The first four that come out are met by the party. Two are killed and the next had his head burned off by Huginn’s gem. Farhad shatters the arm of another. They keep coming out and the party kills them, causing many to retreat. A shaman appeared, but is held by Kahan. Huginn the sends three shark bolts at him which rip the shaman to shreds. Half of the trogs flee while the other half run up and attack. They are brought down quickly. The party spends some time healing and looting. This gives the trogs time to regroup and attack. Again, a shaman appears, but Huginn again shreds him with shark bolts. The rest are brought down with holds from Folkvar and Hasdrubal. Once these are dealt with, the party heals up and loots again. This allows the party to be caught off guard by a group of lizardmen that are coming in with four multicolored crocodiles. The lizardmen catch Huginn off guard and he is brought down. The party rallies together though and kill them, leaving the four crocodiles inside the cave to free the exit. The party loots this group and moves into the audience hall they found. They find nothing of value.
They move into the lair further and search a living chamber and find some loot. Urthur blocks the crocodiles in with bodies of trogs. They move further in finding a room set to make noise. It is an armory. The noise makes attracts two small heads. Urthur and Farhad, and Kahan charge after them. Cal and Huginn move to a small larder and find a dead shark. Huginn takes all of the teeth. The other party finds a throne room with a black obsidian throne with blueish green stones inset. There are several weird heads. Huginn and Cal move in further into the larder and find meat, more sharks, and chicens. Huginn grabs two chickens for dinner. Cal grabs a chicken. Urthur refuses to kill the two children in the throne room. Farhad also doesn’t kill them, telling Urthur he needs to raise them. Instead Kahan slaughters both, freaking Urthur ut and he breaks down into tears. Huginn walks into the room ad hands the two chickens to Urthur, telling him to carry them. The concept seems to annoy Urthur, but he snaps out of it while Farhad was consoling him. Crash, keeping watch for the party missed seeing the four troglodytes and is stunned. Hasdrubal rushes up to save his familiar and is held. Cal and Farhad follow suit and attack the four. They miss but the troglodytes attack. One hits his fellow trog with a spear thrown. Another fails to hold Farhad. Kahan pulls Hasdrubal out of danger with his familiar limping after. Cal starts attacking the trogs with Skol. Urthur eventually makes his way up to the combat, but feel the need to talk it out with the troglodytes so he strikes to subdue. He eventually knocks him out, but Huginn hears it and is annoyed. He goes up and tries to blast the unconcious trog with the gem, but it doesn't do enough damage. Urthur pushes Huginn away and tries to protect the trog behind him and Folkvar kills the monster with his sword. Kahan mind thrusts Urthur and he forgets the whole episode, but is then brought back to the dead children. The party then finishes the last of the trogs and loot the bodies.
Opting to return later, the party leaves and runs into a local on the road who wants them to come to the city of Thebes. Arlissa explains that this is the island of Thebes and asks what offworlders are doing here. The party claims that they just killed a bunch of troglodytes and need to heal up. She offers to take them to a local healer, but they refuse and wish to go back to the tower. She follows them until Folkvar explains that seeing the tower may hurt her since it is not a local phenominon. She leaves the party and lets them know how to contact her among the people of Thebes when they return. The party splits up the loot and they rest in the tower.
