Pacha wants to figure out what her magical compass points to and Garlok agrees to help her in exchange for the chance to join the party.
Black Robe shows up a couple days later and transports the group to Howling Hills, where the Elf-Flan war rages. In exchange for the shaman's help, Garlok agrees to help his friend deal with the foes of the Flan. First, the prince, a respected hero and Colonel of Furyondy, speaks to a mixed force of white knights, asking them to treat the Flan as humans and focus their aggression on the orcs and their ogre & troll allies. While this doesn't oblivate all threat from warriors from non-Flan lands, it does split the forces, forcing them to choose other (non-Flan) targets. The second request, however, forces Garlok to gather his party. The goal? Take out a lair of orcs, bugbear, ogres, and their allies.
The heroes very quickly locate the lair and enter. Viktor triggers a trip-wire, which catch him, Pacha, and Li. The heroes find themselves battling ogres and baaz draconians. After a protracted battle, four ogres and 20 draconians are dead. Unfortunately, Kohana's leg is seriously crippled
