Heroes: Ravella the Mage, Arita the Halfling Warrior, Estrubia the Dwarven Ranger, Thera the Cleric of Athena, Estrella the Psi, Kuur the warrior, Bao the ninja, and Tao the shaman
The party is camped outside the city in the dunes when Andor shows up with Kephalonia and some man in a foppish hat. Andar is pleased with their progress and explains the gems, saying multiple people should be attuned to a single gem. After some injuries, they manage to do that and are healed back up by Andar and his associates. Ravella asks if they retrieve all of the gems, could she have just one of them as they are quite handy. Andar says no, they are all needed except for tow not in the city and one is held by a lich, but she is free to grab that one if she wants. He sends them back into the city to find the rest. On the way, they find three sea giants guarding the ruins of the city. Confused, Ravella does not think this is right and sees through the illusion. Eventually, the whole party realizes this, but not before several take some pummeling. Healing up a bit, the party re-enters the city, camps at the house. Once they get bored, they all are transported back into the past version of the city.
Ravella directs them back to the bar as that is where they left off. Thera stays outside with Estrubia as she is not allowed in the bar. With no luck, the party searches the bar for a gem, even asking the bartender and the face in the floor. Unfortunately, outside Thera and Estrubia see minotaurs tracking their scent. She runs inside the bar with Estrubia, warning the party. The bartender starts throwing a fit about the dwarf and demands she be leashed. Estrubia relents as long as she carries the leash. Thera says that is fine, but before she is leashed, the minotaurs come into the bar. Again, Ravella is confused and doesn't believe what is in front of her. Fortunately, the minotaurs disappear. Unfortunately, so did the bar, the patrons, her party members and the city around her. She realizes the whole city is some sort of illusion. She starts the process of becoming bored so she can get back, hopefully before it is too late for her party. Meanwhile, the party has killed the minotaurs, finding a silver mace, and then Thera interrogates the face in the floor, thinking there is a clue there. She notices the face keeps looking up and she looks at the ceiling. A gem is embedded in the beams above. Bao climbs up and grabs the gem, attuning it to him.
The party realizes Ravella is missing and tells the bartender to let her know they went to the guardhouse. The bartender cannot seem to understand, so Thera carves it into his bar. THis enrages him and he demands payment for the damage. She refuses and he starts ringing a bell. Relenting and not wanting trouble, she pays him two gp at a time, till he is done. Bao actually takes the bell and removes the clacker, annoying the bartender which then kicks the party out.
They move to the guard house which has two rooms, one on either side. Thera enters the left, finding a suit of platemail with an unclean spirit within, gesturing at a clip board. Thera backs out, thinking there could be a diplomatic way of doing this and enters the right side room. They see four undead beings in the back of the room gambling. The party looks around for possible paperwork to give the armor, but find none. An odd effect seems to be in place where the paperwork is a faded memory. It is fuzzy and unreadable. Thera, out of frustration, grabs the bell on the counter and rings it to the the guards attention from their gambling. They become angry and attack. Thera manages to turn the foul undead, giving the party time to search the room, finding nothing. THe party then sends Estrella to the bar to get alcohol. THey return, douse the undead, and then light them up. they take damage, but turn to attack the party. Thera attempts to turn them again, but it fails. THese are powerful undead. Fearing what that means, she grabs her spear and prepares to attack with the rest of the party. Both Bao and Tao land solid hits on the creatures, but they do no damage. THey realize that these needs to be hit with silver or magical They yell a warning to the group and only those with those weapons attack. The fire burns out, but the damage that these creatures took seems to be healed when they strike a member of the party. Thera grabs the mace from Arita and swings. They eventually take down the undead. THey find 4 silver short swords which are given to the warriors. A ladder leads up to ther roof, but they do not find much of interest except a blank clipboard with what looks like the same form. Thera takes it, gathers the group, and goes back to the armor, showing him the clip board. He looks at it, becomes angered and tries to attack. It seems the armor he is wearing does him no favors and the party kills him before he can attack, disapating his energy. THey search the boxes in this room and find contraband. A shield is given to Thera while some loot is gathered. They check the roof of this room and find a gem. Estrubia manages to attune this gem. Feeling proud of their success, they move to the last building on this block, the shipwrights. When they enter, they find 20 intricate ship models, some of which defy explanation. They also see three more of the undead creatures who attack. Knowing the drill now, the party makes quick work of them. One of the ships is made of ice and saying a prayer to Athena and asking for forgiveness in destroying such a craft, a domain of her goddess. Annoyed with the delay, Tao tries to knock the ship out of her hands and fails. She glares at him, prays again, then drops the sip. It shatters, revealing a gem. It is now that Ravella shows back up, explaining what happened. Thera grabs two books of ship plans and has all the other group members hold 2 or three ship models. They rest, phase back into normal reality and Thera buries the ships for safe keeping and has Kephalonia take them and the books back for safe keeping the next time they meet. The party now has five of the twelve gems.
