Heroes:Ryder the Rogue, Seraphina the Witch, Maxine the Fighter, Cyrus the Sorcerer, Pavo the Mystic of Nog, Two Rivers the Totemic Warrior, Kryos the Warsmith, and Jason the Cleric of Hades
The heroes wake up from their much needed rest in the pit of foam. Ryder scouts above, finds no danger, and gathers the group together. They make their way through the tunnels with Ryder checking for traps and Two Rivers tracking. Coming to a couple of junctions, but Two Rivers leads the way successfully. While walking down the tunnels, the rear of the party hears someone approach. They see a beautiful woman in rags and wielding a dagger made from the spine of a gnoll. Most of the party does not trust her, but Ryder, seeing a pretty face, comes up to her, comforts her and gives her his old dagger in exchange for the gnoll spine dagger. As he his talking to her, Ryder hears Seraphina and Cyrus whispering to each other. Thinking they are making fun of him, he asks what they are whispering about. Cyrus responds with a question," When did you start understanding medusae?" Ryder puts two and two together and draws his weapons. The distraught look on the slaves face changes to a coy look and a mocking tone when she tell Ryder to attack his party. He looks at her like she is stupid and then strikes her. The long sword does normal damage, but the short sword bursts into green flame as soon as it hits her. It does a lot of damage and sends her reeling. After a few more exchanged, she blows a kiss to the group and says she will let Yeenaghu know they are coming and disappears. Ryder asks the sword if it is a demon slayer. It tingles a confirmation back. The party patches itself up and keeps moving.
They come across a door that is neither trapped or locked. Ryder opens it to find a circular room with a rope hanging from the ceiling. After a search, Ryder discovers the ground will fall out. He ties a rope to the rope and yanks it from the doorway. THe floor expectedly falls out to reveal a pit of acid, but unexpectedly, the party sees a door open on the other side. Ryder swings over, but misses. He then tries again and succeeds. He scouts the hall on the other side and finds nothing of concern. After a failed attempt to shoot a rope across the pit to Ryder, Seraphina has Didy fly over and retrieve the rope. They get the whole party over and move on.
They come to another cavern. In this chamber, there is a large mocking frog demon and a clump of fungus growing in the center. Kryos charges the demon and kills it with one mighty blow, causing the hidden succubus they fought earlier to sputter out of exasperation. Jason sees her and moves toward her. She sees him, blows a kiss and says toodles before disappearing. Ryder searches the fungus pile to find some gems and some clubs. He collects them and the part moves on. THey then enter another room. THis one has a door on the far side. Ryder checks for traps and did not find anything, motioning for someone with muscle to force it. Kryos charges the door, revealing it was false and the real door behind was filled with spikes. Kryos takes damage, but does not manage to knock the door down. Sheepishly, Ryder then picks the lock, avoiding Kryos's glare. Kryos gets patched up and the party moves on.
Once again, the party hears something from behind. They turn around to find four ogres being commanded by the succubus. Kryos and Maxine charge the ogres to hold the line. Meanwhile the succubus suggests Two Rivers takes Ryder's Demonslayer. It fails. She then resorts to suggesting Cyrus kills Ryder. He then turns and hits Ryder, knocking him unconcious. To save his life, Seraphina and Pazo attempts to subdue Cyrus, but the mirror image he had cast at the beginning of this battle make that all but impossible. To assist Kryos in his battle against the ogre, he shoots his bow, but hits Kryos instead and the next blow from the ogre kills him instantly. Two Rivers then grabs Ryder from Cyrus's grasp, but then is charmed by the succubus and told to come to her. Cyrus charges and grabs for Ryder, but all he does is knock Ryder from Two Rivers' grasp. Jason casts silence on the succubus, but still manages to get charmed later. He effectively limited her ability to suggest and charm. He continues down to the succubus along with Jason who is also charmed. Pazo manages to kill the two ogres that Seraphina managed to put to sleep, but can do little else against the succubus. He tries to keep her focus though. Two Rivers then moves to keep Cyrus occupied while Seraphina attempts to bring Ryder up. She successfully manages it just as Maxine and the last ogre die. Seeing the chaos, Ryder becomes infuriated and charges the succubus. She notices too late and the blade sinks into her heart. It bursts into green flame again. She slides to the ground and bubbles away. Ryder falls to the floor on his knees from exhaustion and pain. The rest of the party snaps out of their charm, but the suggestion on Cyrus stays. He takes Ryder out again with his eye attack. Thinking quickly, Seraphina casts darkenn on Cyrus so he cannot see Ryder anymore. She brings Ryder back up. He then asks if Andar is available.
He is and Seraphina asks for help. He states all his contacts are busy at the moment, but after thinking a bit says he will be back. A woman shows up calling herself Tandris. She is not sure why she was asked to come as she cannot transport anyone. After thinking a bit, she disappears and a wormhole apears with Harbinder on the other side. The party rushes through to safety. Harbinder heals the party and gives her reservations about releasing them back to Andar, but afte thinking a bit, Ryder says that they owe Andar for saving them from another world. Ryder asks about eincarnation and Harbinder states that she can takre Ryder to a druid that can assist. Tandris fetches a toe of poor Uyrk and brings it to Ryder.
Once in Port Town, Ryder finds the druid in question who states he will do it for 2000 gp. Ryder says it will take a bit to get that much, but he will return. Ryder asks if the toe needs to be preserved and Torax says yes, but that is a wizard thing and tells Ryder to go to the tower in the graveyard and tell her Torax sent him. Ryder does just that and ends up getting charmed by the wizardess after accepting a spell from her. She sees his pure intentions and the guilt he feels for the death of Uyrk and poreserves the toe. She also tell Ryder to return to Torax and he will do the spell now. He returns and Torax casts the spell, but still mentions Ryder owes him the money. Uyrk is transformed into a giant owl who barely remembers Ryder. The owl thanks Ryder and Ryder hugs the owl, asking Torax to give him a great life.
What will the party do now? They needed escape once again and one of their fighters have perished.
