With Rhanee and Torr's support, Ichi travels to the Scarlet Brotherhood where he challenges the reigning Master of the South Wind. An older man, he proves quite skilled, but only manages to land a single blow against Ichi, even though the battle lasts for more than seven minutes. Ichi becomes fatigued as the melee continues, though the Scarlet Brotherhood monk is barely breaking a sweat. Unfortunately for him, however, Ichi's skill in martial arts proves far more dangerous and he claims the fight and the title, but not the former Master's life, as they had agreed to NOT battle to the death. The three leave, making Ichi the new Master of the South Wind!
