The party (Ryder, Lillian, Virstalen, Sarafina, Maxine, Cyrus, and Po) escaped the slavers and into the moon-lit woods. They traveled for a couple of hours before being ambushed by a band of troglodytes in the woods. The heroes, amazingly, made fairly short work of the troglodytes, although two of them ran away. Po gave chase and killed his foes before coming upon the troglodyte lair. The Kara-Turan warrior entered the warren of tunnels but never emerged again.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group traveled through the woods and ran into an orcish village, complete with orcish rangers. The heroes managed to slay the orcish guardians, though Virstalen, Ryder, Maxine, and Cyrus were all seriously wounded. Sarafina reunited with Dinni and the heroes rested up a short ways away.
