Cliffy teleports the heroes (Joe StrongArm, Wynd and Thundr, Bethany and Cleo, Rhom StrongArm, Sul Absil the minotaur, and Bianca) to Amberwood in order to heal up and recover their strength. The heroes first visit the Temple of Bahamut where the witches (and Vanity) use all their spells to restore the party. Bianca then uses three nap spells to restore not just the party, but the witches as well. Vanity, in fact, offers to accompany the heroes on their next run. For additional healing, Wynd and Thundr visit Ael'Mara at the Temple of Corellon.
Restored, Cliffy again teleports the group back to the glacial home of the giants. There, the heroes find the area deserted, though Thundr and Wynd here a faint warning howl. The heroes investigate, splitting into two teams. Rhom, Cliffy, and Vanity with Cleo head toward the boulder behind the raised dais while the rest of the party goes for the boulder off of the giant nursery. Rhom and company, however, find themselves immersed in battle -- two frost giant warriors, five female giants, three winter wolves, five ogres, and five young giants. Rhom tears into them with support from Cliffy and Vanity. The warsmith captures the entryway and begins to bash his way into the slaughter the jotuns. The children run and the ogres hesitate so Rhom victoriously gains control of the combat. Cliffy battles one giantess and a wolf but first Cleo attacks it to give the mage a chance to cast spells and then Vanity helps him.
Meanwhile, the rest of the party enters a series of chambers before arriving at a massive glacial cavern here they battle two more frost giant warriors, five female giantess, five ogres, the winter wolves, and some giant children. Thundr takes on one side of the combat, leaving Joe and Sul to dominate the other side, benefiting from a prayer from Bethany as Rhom's group benefits from the same spell from Vanity. Wynd unleashes several volleys of deadly arrows and the heroes begin to get the upper hand. That's right when Rhom fights his way through to the rear of this chamber from the other side, drawing off nearly all the giants. Vanity and Cliffy move to back him up, but all three are outflanked and overwhelmed. Rhom takes out two giants but he and Vanity are smashed to near death.
Bethany unleases a bronze dragon's dragon breath stunning all the ogres in her melee. Joe slaughters one giant and Sul frees up Wynd who guns down two frost giant children and an ogre while Thundr tears into a giantess. Cliffy manages to avoid serious harm thanks to his mirror image spells -- he dimension doors to relative safety and then unleashes a lightning bolt frying nearly all the remaining giants. The heroes quickly regain control of the situation and finish the remaining jotuns and their allies.
It's only been two minutes and already dozens of foes lie dead at the heroes' feets. Wynd catches scent of a female cloud giant as well as a few other giants.
