The heroes (Joe StrongArm, Wynd and Thundr, Cliffy, Bethany and Cleo with Gilgamesh, Rhom StrongArm, and Sul Absil the minotaur) return to the glacial lair of a large band of frost giants in the Crystalmist Mountains in order to finish their quest to drive out and slay these monsters.
The party appears back in the guest chamber they used before. This time the torches are out and five stone giants are in residence. Cliffy and Bethany are surprised, leaving only Wynd to fight the jotuns, but luckily they weren't expecting a fight either. Cleo tries to enter Cliffy's house but fails. Bethany then goes for help as four frost giants arrive. Rhom tears into these giants alongside Sul. Then five hill giants enter via another boulder, forcing Wynd to hold them off until Thundr can come to his rescue. Three fire giants also join the fight, though Rhom takes them out quite quickly. A female white dragon attacks from behind the hill giants, breathing frost and hurting the last two hill giants as well as most of the party. Rhom and Sul face the male white dragon, but it falls back and tries to goad the party into battling the dozen and a half frost giants waiting to pelt the party with boulders. Sul slays the female dragon and Rhom kills the male.
Cliffy scouts forward and is nailed with several boulders, only his mirror image and stoneskin spells saving him. The elf then unleashes a chain lightning at the horde of frost giants, forcing them to fall back. Rendered invisible, Rhom and Cliffy follow and attack. Thundr charges into one group as Rhome slaughters another, aided by the damage and misty cover of one of Cliffy's fireballs. Sul charges in, but goes down. Wynd takes several frost giants with arrows as Bianca heals Rhom and Bethany uses her mirror imaged form to draw off the giant's counter missile fire. The heroes finish off the last four frost giants and opt to retreat.
