The heroes (Ichi, Shang-Lung, Corona, Klornap, Shayana, Zylvanar with Nikaris, and Bruenor) travel to the Bloodstone mines with the map of the tunnels from the dwarves. Using the map, the group quickly zig-zags through the mine shafts and nears the decent shaft to the levels below when the roof suddenly collapses. Shang, Corona, and Klornap leap backwards to safety, but the rest the heroes disappear in a crash of falling rock. Unbeknownst to the heroes, Ichi and Shayana are now trapped on the far side of the cave in with Zylvanar, Nik, and Bruenor trapped UNDER it and helplessly pinned. Shang-Lung and Corona use a number of spells and scrolls to clear out a narrow tunnel through the rock, rescuing first Zyl who also casts his stone shape spells and the uncovering Nikaris and Bruenor. Meanwhile, Ichi smashes three feet of rock away but must stop lest he collapse the cavern further. Thanks to his mystical senses, Ichi is aware that the rest of the party has only four feet of solid rock between he and them, but there is no way to communicate this. So, Shang uses his dimension door and teleport spells along with the bag of holding to transport the heroes to the other side where the whole party is reunited. They then heal up and choose to rest and recover, having exhausted nearly all of their magics just dealing with the cave in.
Over the course of the next 18 hours, the heroes battle several small groups of demons, none of which manage to escape. Then, the party descends to the level below, some 120' beneath the previous level. The group continues exploring and quickly navigates these unworked passages until they come to a newly-constructed dwarven lift to the level below.
Ichi scouts the area with his magical broom, finding a pair of duergar as well as a vrock, a glabrezu, a hezrou, a nalfeshnee, and a marilith. The dwarves clearly are the operators of the lift while the demons appear to be guarding a large, marble column to which are chained a pair of naked female gnomes. Nearby are two naked male gnomes, chained to the walls and succumbing to the numerous tortures and abuses they've clearly been exposed to. Ichi leads the charge to attack on his magical broom, slaying both gray dwarves before they know what's hit them. Klornap's lighten load reduces the heroes' mass allowing Shang-Lung to use a dimension door to transport half the group to the bottom while the other half pile into the bag of holding and trust a ring of feather fall...
Ichi invokes his abilities to speed and blur, clearing a path of destruction through the fiends. Shang, Corona, and Bruenor are on his heals, though not quite as effective. Ichi stuns the marilith before she can act, though another nalfeshnee and Orcus himself appear. Ichi's senses reveal that at least the Demon Price of the Undead is an illusion and very quickly the source of the bogus demon-lord is slain. Nearly dead, the vrock teleports away to safety. A balrog also appears but dies nearly as swiftly, falling under a flurry of naginata blows. Unfortunately, Shayana, Zylvanar, and Nikaris miss most of the fight, having fallen victim to a symbol of fear. The heroes finish the last of the demons just as Ichi collapses. Bruenor frees the gnomes who turn out to be disguised succubi and manage to drain Zyl, though they do not live long enough to regret showing their true nature. The heroes also save the male gnomes and tend to their wounds, but as no one speaks gnomish, they cannot communicate with the two little guys.
