The heroes (Tasnim, Samirah, Tiberius, Asbah with Waaha and Jabla Jaleed, Abdul, Alexander, and Mahmud) sleep atop of the ruins, the women in the magical pavilion and the men around a small campfire. In the middle of the night Abdul and Alexander spy someone approaching and the group soon befriends Aziza, an archer of the desert. In the morning, the heroes find a way into the ruins and descend through several rooms. First, however, Samirah touches the main door and a winged minotaur appears, demanding the party not enter. Naturally, the heroes hacked the creature down -- Samirah cleaving off both of the creatures arms and one of its wings with her magical khopesh. There is a slight conflict and Tiberius spends a good chunk of the adventure crying. Asbah uses her spells to excellent effect, knocking open doors and such.
