Monday, June 15th, 2015 aka 621/6/18 to 19

The party (Tiberius, Nirrana, Samirah, Tasnim, Asbah, and Sul abSil) woke up the morning of the 18th and headed on to the ashiras' grove. Around mid-day, they hear and see a commotion ahead -- bat-winged lion-creatures are attacking some humans! The group moves to help with Tiberius, Samirah, and Sul abSil charging up. As they arrive, a man, Jorah, runs towards them fleeing a juvenile manticore and it's mother. A red pea from Nirrana shoots toward the two creatures and a miniature fireball catches them both. Jorah, Samirah, Sul abSil, and Tiberius then clash with the creatures as Asbah marideen fetches spells and Nirrana unleashes a burning hands. An older juvenile manticore arrives, but the heroes make short work of it as well. Finally, an adult, the father of the two slain young and mate to the female, arrives and rains bolts down onto the party. Asbah fires off a magic missile and Jorah, Sul abSil, and Tiberius use their boys, grounding and then killing the beast. The heroes sift through the remains as Tasnim tends to the wounded (including Jorah!).

The heroes use the last of their healing magic to restore everyone to consciousness, though Hamid doesn't survive. The group limps on to the ashiras' grove, arriving after sundown. The party feasts on fresh fruit and goes to sleep. In the night, nine fire beetles arrive to finish off the leftovers (and snack on anything that looks tasty!). The heroes fight the bugs off, but are fairly badly hurt.
