Ama Daetz for KGO, Channel 7 at 11pm: "Gang violence in San Jose. This afternoon, police shot and critically wounded this woman, Kathy Kunz, a member of the punk street gang, the Storm Troopers of Mayhem. Ms. Kunz and her associates attacked several people at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center this afternoon. Three gang members are in custody and at least four more are still at large. For more on this developing situation, we go live to David Louie at the scene. David, what prompted this attack?"
David Louie: "Hello Ama. Police are still sorting out details at this time, but preliminary reports are that a group of eight armed gang members converged on the hospital this afternoon. Their motivation is still in question at this time, but it appears to possibly be an intra-gang conflict between two or more members of the Storm Troopers. Eye witnesses report five gang members attacking one or more people leaving the medical center. A fight broke out and even though police ordered the combatants to stop, they continued fighting. Police shot and critically injured one gang member, Kathy Kunz, who already has a long list of drug-related felonies. At least one female gang member fled the scene and police have contacted all local hospitals to be on the look out."
Officer Jacob Daniels: "I instructed the combatants to stop, but neither of the women would. Ms. Kunz struck the other woman with a throat strike, clearing trying to damage her windpipe. I shot and wounded Ms. Kunz after which the other female gang member fled. I believed that I did hit her square in the back, but since she neither stopped nor left appeared injured, I either only grazed her or this second gang member was wearing kevlar body armor."
David Louie: "Police are not only concerned about this attack, but are investigating what connection it may have had with yesterday evening's attack at the San Jose Fairmont." <running stock footage of the hotel as well as the destruction after the fight>
"A number of eye witnesses in the medical center cafe report three gang members struggling to control a large, hairy animal described as a gorilla. Given the attack last night by a variety of exotic animals, there appears to be a linkage between the two events. The gang members beat the animal unconscious and then fled the scene, upsetting a cart of ice cream nearby. Animal control specialists were called to contain and care for the animal, but it awoke and attacked police who opened fire. Police believe they may have wounded the animal, but it bounded onto the roof, leap over the dining area, and fled down Moorpark Avenue and presumably into the nearby, heavily forested residential neighborhood. Police are asking the public to report any unusual wild animals in the area and warn the public that even a docile-appearing gorilla can be very dangerous if wounded. Please call this number if you have seen a large animal in the area.

We interrupt this regularly schedule program to present this important news update.
"This is Jessica Aguirre live in the KNTV newroom. We have a developing story in San Jose where police and numerous eye witnesses report two robots and a flying saucer over Plaza de Caesar Chavez. As you can see from this cell phone footage, clearly some large, glowing metallic object was on the scene and fled police gunfire after a pair of nine foot tall metallic robots attacked people and cars in the area. Also on the scene was a large, spiny creature, possibly some kind of very large pitbull in body armor. Police investigation units are now combing the scene and looking for a possible connection with the animal attack at the San Jose Fairmont only two nights ago. As you can see from the map, the Fairmont is across the street from the plaza and investigators believe the two events are related. KNTV's own Scott McGill is on the scene with this live report. Scott?"
Scott: "Jessica, I'm afraid the details are still very unclear about what happened here. Some people believe that this may be a publicity stunt for tonight's Super Bowl between New England and Seattle, but if so, it went terribly wrong and no one is taking credit. A number of eye witnesses describe a single flying disc the size of a tank descending from the sky. Then, a pair of panels on the disc opened and a pair of large metallic figures jumped down into the park, after which the saucer ascended above the height of the nearby buildings."
Mary-Jane Ganjira from Santa Cruz: "Oh, wow, it was, like incredible. The saucer was like, flying, you know, over the park, and then the big robots jumped out and started shooting their death rays at everything. It was like, crazy, and like, people were running everywhere and screaming. I managed to use my iPhone to take some video, but it was, like hard, you know. Then there was this, like, flash of light, and like, all my hair got all sparky and my piercings started to tickle. I could see one chick in cos-play with two bruisers and Carmen Sandiego over by the tree, trying to punch the robots. Then the gorilla jumped on it and I, like, screamed and ran, cuz, well, I heard about the crazy gorilla."
Scott: "Undoubtably, police will spend the next several days combing over footage and trying to make sense of the situation. If eye witness reports are correct, an ape did attack and defeat one of the two metal men. There were reports of at least one young woman attacked by the robots, which seemed to cause lighting to arc at their targets. Several cars in the area were destroyed and one man-hole cover is missing. At least four people attempted to fight off the robots before police arrived on the scene, one critically wounded. A large creature described as 'a spiked pitbull' also attacked bystandards until police shot and killed the animal. Jessica?"
Jessica: "Thank you, Scott. We will continue to follow this story as it develops. Tentative reports from the military are that fighter jets were scrambled from nearby Alameda Airbase, but that the saucer almost immediately disappeared from radar. The two robots and the pitbull have been taken into FBI custody. Meanwhile, police will continue to investigate and KNTV will keep you informed of further developments."
We now return you to the Blacklist, already in progress.
